Posted: 5/21/2008 12:10:32 AM | I struggle to find shoes that fit, let alone are fashionable. Alas poor me, luckily most women are not as judgemental of shoes as these generalisation threads propose.
General appearance, clothing, makeup, footwear, body language, apparent health, skin, everything. I want someone who does not get stared at for negative reasons and is not an embarassment to be seen with. Most people fit this bill. No, if you are fat, you do not sorry. Thankfully, most people are not fat either. | |

Other then the physical, what are her spiritual values? what are her moral values on topics that matter to me. Does she have a kind heart, or is she quick to spew venom at others. Is she kind and compassion ant towards animals.
Those things give me a good idea if she is someone that I really want to get to know. | |

Posted: 5/21/2008 1:57:21 AM | theyre not judging you on how nice your shoes are, dude. what theyre gauging is your sense of style. its a whole package thing. youre not going to pull a girl if youre a psycho who smells like ass as long as your shoes are nice.
it doesnt give them any kind of special understanding of who you are or what youre like just like looking at their tits gives you any insight into their personality. youd have to actually talk to a woman to know whats good and bad about her.
and even still your judgement should be yours alone.
do you think she's "assertive"... or a cu nt?
do you think shes "quirky"... or socially retarded?
do you think shes "quiet" or boring?
the only way to accurately judge a woman is to first know what you like and dislike than then to actually talk to her and find out. | |

GOTTABEGREAT.... I look at teeth and fingernails for starters. Dirty teeth, or missing ones, clean or not are an indication of several things. Beyond that, any woman who chews her fingernails down to bleeding nubs has got self-destructive issues of many flavors. Ditto men who do the same, although my pat expression has always been, "Nailbiting is okay for men, but not for women." I guess it's a little more acceptable and a little less noticeable in men, but chewing your nails to the quick is painful to you, obvious to others, completely unattractive in either gender, and outright indicative of underlying issues.
The next thing I look at is their ability to articulate what matters to them. If there is no depth, or obvious drive and ambition, then they aren't suited to me, no matter what. This works two ways, guys. If you look like Fabio but can shoot more CC's of sperm than you have cranial capacity, I mean.... DAMN! I wouldn't wanna do ya, either!
Some of you guys need to pull your heads out of your asses and improve yourselves, as do the women. What's that thing, "Better somebody, than nobody?" Gimme a ****in' break! You people that live on that plane are stuffin' Jerry Springers pockets!
Now, at risk of appearing superficial to some of you, I'm gonna go pour me another Tanqueray and Tonic, and get OFF my high horse. The rest of us could rant for hours, but if some of you can't even see the tip of the iceburg(If it were painted TITTY PINK!!!) right in front of you, then there's NOTHING some of US can DO to HELP SOME of YOU!
Be a MAN, find a WOMAN, and the rest of the rats will do as rats have for thousands of years. Procreate in filth, and challenge the rest of us to eradicate the plague.

Judge for yourself where you fall, in the context of what I said, but I admire you for asking a provocative question, and so it was. You got a provoked answer. This is the stuff that keeps us smarter, and keeps us in a constant mode of self improvement, know what I'm gettin' at?
I'd just like to see all of us, guys and girls alike, pull some of our heads out of our collective keisters, and live up to our potential, and more readily meet each other's expectations. I'd like to think that that's what you were getting at.

Posted: 5/21/2008 3:40:24 AM | Hey guys, Nomad is on to something--double standards are for the lazy and insecure. If you expect certain standards, meet those standards yourself. Basic grooming, the evidence that you have some sort of dental plan that allows for a healthy mouth that I might want to kiss, hands that are clean- and if you are wearing sandals, make sure your toenails are decent too. I don't judge a guy by how much money he is spending on clothes, tech, cars, etc- I see if he takes care of himself, looks capable, like he does something else besides "media" in his spare time, can have an intelligent conversation other than his "exes" wives, gfs, or last night's POF date. Most of us women expect him to get the door, pay for the first dates, (I'm willing to "go in" on dates after a bit), not expect to get a little- if we want you, we will let you know. Be polite, don't play with yourself in public, at least while you are with us. Don't stare at the sports game in the bar, or the waitress. Turn off your phone. (rude!)
Well, you get the picture- at least you don't have to curl your hair, wear makeup, spend a fortune on outfits to wear, be scrutinized over every imperfection and extra pound... | |

I absolutely love the fresh, natural look, but as Roadkill said, clip yer damn claws if'n yer gonna wear sandals! Dress and groom as though the one you were PREPARING TO SEE meant something to you- whether on the first date, or on your 49th wedding anniversary. How do some of ya'll think our grandfolks stayed together so long, anyway? Yeah, anti-perspirant technology wasn't then, wat it is today, but... n Hell, they were WILLING to do thigs for one anotherthat showed that they VALUED ONE ANOTHER. Now, it's a me-first world, and it's transcending our family values, as well.
ROADKILL, thank-you for seeing my point and taking it at face value. I respect your willingness to walk NEXT to me. It's an easy dance to dance with another, if you understand reciprocity. Fact is, I DON'T have all the money in the world, but I have been closer to some wealthy jerks that made me cringe to their improprieties, closer to crap like that than I have ever wanted to be.

I hearya- most cases I'd likely take your side, if I knew a man had an opportunity to be home ALL THE TIME.... Lotsa the bass turds take it for granted. Every now and again, you find one of us who is so damn real you can't take it. Unfortunately, that's how the latest deal stacked up for all of us, including my little girl who is really the one paying the price for her folks not being together at this point n time. I'll never back down on my shit... someday, a lovely woman will come along who understands my convictions, and respects me for standing on them, and though she won't be my daughter's mother, she will be a class-act role model, and a wife of mine, and in THAT, I have FAITH.

Mi padre nacio en Vigo y mi madre en Barbantes. I was only in Caracas 1 year before we returned to Spain for a few years and then segued to ... New Jersey. Not quite "Born in the USA" but close.
Sounds like you throw some pretty cool parties, shoot me an email and I will drop by when I am down in your neck of the country and I will whip some choice recipes... just invite the babes, I am sure we would make a good team...
