COME AND START THE MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND WITH A FREE CONCERT!
BRING SOME SNACKS, DRINKS, & YOUR LAWN CHAIR AND MEET US IN THE GRASS AREA IN FRONT OF THE "DUBLINER" PUB. AT 7:30 UNTIL ??? I WILL BE SET UP HOPEFULLY NO LATER THAN 7:15. THE POF TRADITION IN FORT LAUDERDALE IS FOR YOU TO LOOK FOR A RED BALOON...SO I WILL DO THE SAME. 
LET'S MEET & LISTEN TO GREAT CLASSIC ROCK MUSIC....IF THE MUSIC MOVES YOU, YOU CAN SING AND GET UP AND DANCE... ASK ME & I WILL PROBALLY JOIN YOU! 
DIRECTIONS: I-95 NORTH OR SOUTH TO PALMETTO PARK ROAD EXIT
EAST ON PALMETTO TO US1
TURN LEFT ONTO US1 (HEAD NORTH)
GET INTO THE RIGHT LANE A.S.A.P.
TURN RIGHT INTO MIZNER PARK
USE EITHER PARKING GARAGE, BUT THE ONE ON THE
RIGHT WILL PUT YOU CLOSER TO DUBLINER'S IRISH PUB.

There are 2 Parking Garages there. "A" & "B" Garages are acessed from US1 . Try to park in the SOUTH Garage (on the right) I think that it is the "B" Garage. You will be close to Dubliners when you make your way to the Shops and the Grass. Look for the RED BALLON!  | |

Posted: 5/22/2008 10:51:36 AM | Of course this band will play "Freebird"! It is one of the "most overplayed songs in Rock History". ("Stairway to Heaven", "Hotel California" and "Knights in White Satin" being the others)
Coincidently, I had already planned to attend before I got this notice, and I usually sit in the exact area mentioned! (As I did at Monday night's Duran Duran concert)
I had looked into getting tickets for inside the gate, but they range from $109-$250! This price is ridiculous for what is, basically, a "tribute" band, since the original members died long ago. | |

HELLO ALL, THE RAIN GODS DECIDED TO KEEP THE RAIN IN THE CLOUDS!!!
NOT A DROP OF RAIN WAS FELT ALL NIGHT LONG!!! THE RAIN CELLS SPLIT APART AND ONE WENT NORTH AND THE OTHER WENT SOUTH!!!
5 POF MEMBERS ATTENDED. NOT BAD FOR SUCH A LATE POSTING!!! I HAVE BEEN TO 6 CONCERTS AT MIZNER IN THE LAST 2 YEARS OR SO, AND THIS WAS THE LARGEST CROWD YET!!! I ESTIMATE 10-15,000!!! I GUESS THEY DIDN'T CARE IF IT WOULD RAIN OR NOT!
ANYWAY, A GREAT TIME WAS HAS BY ALL WHO WERE THERE!
I PROMISE NOT TO WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE NEXT TIME.
