| Are you addicted to pof? Posted: 6/4/2005 6:23:28 AM | I wouldn't really say I'm addicted but I admit that I spend a fair amount of time reading and posting to the forums. I can leave it any time I want though.

| Are you addicted to pof? Posted: 6/4/2005 6:23:50 AM | Addiction is a pretty strong word. I'm not sure it applies here. I mean I do spend time thinking about some of the threads I've posted to during the day and often check out the forums as soon as I get home from work but that to me is not an addiction. I have a good idea when it's appropriate or not.

| Are you addicted to pof? Posted: 6/4/2005 6:24:14 AM | Actually this week I logged on the site at work. I wasn't on long just a few posts to a particularily interesting thread. I probably won't do that again. My plane leaves in three hours and I have to pack still but I would like to take the time to make it clear that I really don't see myself as addicted. D'ya think?

| Are you addicted to pof? Posted: 6/4/2005 6:24:33 AM | The airport limo is sitting in my driveway honking his f**kin horn. What's his friggin problem. Obviously he can't aprreciate the value of an online community that crosses gender, race and age boudaries and provides participants with the opportunity to share their views on a wide range of subjects. Hold that thought someones knocking

| Are you addicted to pof? Posted: 6/4/2005 6:32:24 AM | | I am wondering if ignoring the phone, bills, diner, ex wife, and the weather and only surfing POF if that is an addiction. I only go on for the fourms. I really don't have a problem sharing my time with my children on the computer. And no it is not true that my access to my children was based around my access to this website. lmao | |

| Are you addicted to pof? Posted: 6/4/2005 8:40:45 AM | Im addicted to being addicted. Damn, everything I do gets to me. I smoke and drink and don't come home at all. Though thats not an addiction. Just a guy having a great time. But I could get up and do it all over again. I come home and hit the computer right away myself. Its the window to the world. A tool I use to communicate and find my entertainment on. What was life like before online. I can do anything on here. I can even be someone else. Yesterday I was the Queen. Well,,,till i tried to have my sister beheaded. Yeah its a great world out there POFrs. Though we would never know it, unless we stick the webcam out the window. Hmmmmm not a bad Idea. | |

| Are you addicted to pof? Posted: 6/4/2005 8:53:16 AM | I try to fight it. I really do. But, I count on POF to keep me entertained when I'm at work all night long. I read the forums primarily, and shake my head at a lot of it, but sometimes I'm compelled to comment.
Yes, I'd have to say I'm an addict to a certain degree. but I can stop at anytime.
no...really. I can.
REALLY!! I CAN!!
okay, fine. I can't. SO???

| Are you addicted to pof? Posted: 6/5/2005 8:05:38 AM | I think that we need a 12 step program to help those who can't help themselves as addict of PoF. So I will try and start a program. 1-turn on computer 2-wait for computer to boot up 3-launch my email checker 4-read and reply to my emails (so far so go) 5-look for the weather of the day 6-look for the weather for the week 7-launch almanac and look for the weather for the month 8-look for the weather for the year 9- oh pi** on it, go the POF read forums, reply to forums 10-read forums, reply to forums 11-read forums, reply to forums 12- ask for help as I am in my addicted LOOP.
someone please rescue me. I am a PoF addict and I cannot stop!

| Are you addicted to pof? Posted: 6/5/2005 8:44:02 AM | Hi my name is Enig short for enigma, which is really quite the contradiction now that I've been here for some time. LMAO I am an addict also. Some days I say ok you need to get this done and I set a time for my stay on POF but find that never works out as planned. Everyone who knows me knows I'm an online junkie. As a matter of fact my kids new friend I met yesterday says after we introduce ourselves, so you're the one that's online all the time eh? How sad is that, rofl.
You know your addicted when......ok we won't even go there.....just have fun and enjoy it while you can. Cheers fellow addicts! bfn See ya at one of the meetings. LOL

| Are you addicted to pof? Posted: 6/5/2005 1:57:58 PM | My doctor told me there was no cure for this addiction. I simply decided to stop fighting it! In essence.. it now a way of life.. no longer an addiction.
Now.. where are those pills.. ????

| Are you addicted to pof? Posted: 6/5/2005 4:39:50 PM | After reading all the responses to this thread I realize that we are talking about addiction. I thought we were talking about addition like is adding and subtracting. Oh well back to the weather channel or the almanac. no really I thought we were talking about addition :-) And I still can't find that da** almanac on my favourites, so I will just have to keep reviewing this forum. Just to let you know that I have a bed time of 10pm tonight and promise not to stay on this computer after that time. Where is that almanac! Does plentoffish have a weather channel link? it might help with us addicts.
And why does addiction have a short word for the person as in addict but the short form for the person who does addition is a mathemation. This is so unfair. Makes me want to be a PoF addict not an addition mathemation.
