| Life After People
Posted: 5/23/2008 12:53:02 AM | I hope that this topic is not redundant, however, having many topic about interactions between woman and men, and our world coming to an end in 2012 12 21, let's all take another angle on this, of "Life After People".
Life After People is a History channel documentary that was done earlier this year.
I am sure that you may think this is imaginary, however, "Life After People" tho, is about, what would our planet earth be like, and what would happen to it, should one day that NONE of us existed, and what would happen to what we had left behind us.
Life After People is a documentary, and an American version of planet earth, that has taken some of it's events from other places in the world, and not just on America.
However, it gives you an inside prospective, of what would happen to planet earth, after 10,000 years after we are all gone, and NO one to look after our planet earth that we had left far behind.
I will leave a link, of where you can find this documentary video on google, that has takes about an houe and a half to watch, so, you will have to pull a comfy chair up to your computer monitor and get comfortable, because, it take a while to watch, however, it will be worth your while, as you watch this video.
I have watched theis video, a number of times, so, to give you an inside prospective of this video, try to imagine what would happen to some of our steel structures like the Lions Gate Bridge of not being properly maintained by human beings for about 150 or so years.
With the Lions Gate Bridge, being made out of steel, and steel cables holding most of the structure up, and supporting it. The individual wires in the cables would start to rust, the paint would peel off, and the steel in the cables would start to corrode.
With that corrosion, the individual wires would start to weaken and snap. and little by little the structure would weaken, eventually, parts of that bridge wold fall into the inlet below the Lions Gate Bridge. The highrises in downtown Vancover, another example, with ALL those glass and steel towers, and with the sun shinning brightly on those towers, without proper maintenance, the sealant between the glass and the steel frames, would harden, therefore with the expansion and contraction of the steel frames holding the glass in would put so much strain on the glass, that it would crack and break, and pieces of glass would fall to the streets below.
To get a better idea, take the time, to watch this video of, Life After People, and even tho it is American, try to imagine the same thing what it would be like here in BC, and in Vancouver.
