Posted: 5/23/2008 3:28:22 AM | KARL WATKINS, 20, appeared at Hereford Crown Court in February 1993 on five
counts of outraging public decency: in particular, making love to pavements.
Watkins claimed it was a case of mistaken identity, but he was fingered many
times as the man found face down on the paving stones with his pants round
his ankles. One boy told of seeing Watkins's bare backside moving up and
down, while a mother said she was shocked to see a group of children gathered
round him.
He also attempted to mount an underpass. How he passed the time
during his 18 month jail sentence is far from clear.
Watkins was back in court in April 1995, on charges of simulating sex with
black plastic dustbin bags in front of teenage schoolgirls.
He revealed a nine-year fetish with the plastic sacks, centred on the "feel and touch of
the bin liners".
He went out at night to spend his time in rubbish piles, and had been found in wheelie bins, and even in the back of dust-carts. His ultimate sexual fantasy was to be in a dust-cart when the bin bags were crushed.
Convicted of outraging public decency, he was put on three years' probation and ordered to seek psychiatric help.
Do you think his treatment by the law was fair and should he really need to see a psychiatrist or be allowed to freely enjoy his fetish ? | |

While I am all for people enjoying their fettishes, I would guess that this man has a thing for exposing himself while in public, hence all the bizarre behaviour. Its not like is doing it quietly with his own paving slab at home!! I think thats prob why the sentance was a bit harsh. | |

Is it a fetish, or is it obssesive compulsive disorder........ not sure what the defining line on that would be, except I would think OCD is treatable, therefore a psychiatrist would be better. Can you treat a fetish ? not sure on that. I know my shoe fetish is un-treatable  | |

His treatment by the law was fair, it is after all against the law for an adult to expose theirself in public. However, he should be able to enjoy his fetish in the privacy of his own home, he should get a builder to set up some paving in his house ... end of problem | |

...and that's how it should be! If you want to sh*g a pavement, hang by your nipples from a meat hook or stick lit candles up yer bum that's entirely up to you!

Posted: 6/25/2008 9:50:26 AM | I've seen a lot of odd sexual behaviour and the law has been fair to this man - it's the public exhibitionism angle that is out of order, not the fetish for material things.
He could freely enjoy his fetish in controlled circumstances - there are clubs that he could go to where he might find people who would be quite happy to watch him.
It looks like this man suffers from uncontrollable frenzy and deserves help in controlling that. | |
