Most spend less than a tenner a month on bras and knickers with 6o percent only buying new undies when the old ones fray claims market analysts Mintel....
Fashion analyst Katrin Magnusson said "Grey saggy knickers don't conjure up the sexiest image and the industry needs to encourage women to spend on lingerie that makes them feel special".....
Do you agree that women should spend more money on lingerie to make us men feel special?!!
And do British womens underwear draws need shaking up or have the analysts got it wrong?

Though i think in this day and age us women do actually buy a lot of nice undies, not just for the men but because it makes us feel good too,its the new "shoe" infactuation.

I 've splashed out on some right posh knicks n bras and definitely feel better for having done so

But in general my experiences have all been quite pleasent, had the odd one where it nearly ruined the moment but being a man and all I didnt let it put me off...
I personally think that however the woman feels comfortable is the best. If a woman started judging me on my cheap thai silk boxers i'd be upset!

I have never had saggy grey knickers in my undies drawer either Its a personal thing. If I go out and I have nice underwear on then I feel better about myself plus there is nowt worse than if you get lucky and you have on undies that dont match or even a pair of old period pants (couldnt find an embarrassed smiley lol)

And, as it's a really nice day (at least where I am) you may even catch a glimpse of it about her person too!

Used to buy lots and lots of nice knickers and bra's, had the kids, put on weight and ended up with drawers full of cotton one's.
Recently I have rediscovered my love for nice lingerie and am going through a bit of a buying frenzy. No more horrid knickers for me. They are pants.

Sadly the choice is limited in prive range and styles if your cursed with anything over a DD cup.

And do British womens underwear draws need shaking up or have the analysts got it wrong? Well, put it this way; do you really think lacey underwear is essential just to feel special?

| British Womens Knickers Are Pants Claims New Survey... Posted: 5/23/2008 2:01:55 PM | I sort out my knicker draw bout once every 6 months.... I dont own any greying saggy knickers but twice now my dad (well meaning tho he is) has washed a couple of my bra's in the dark wash and dyed them a manky murky colour :( One cost me £15 and only had it on the once..... Also once he tumble dried an Ann Summers bra and ruined it!! Oh and another time he put one on the radiator (after chastisement about putting bra's in the tumbler) and the effing dog got hold of it and chewed it up!!! That was another Ann Summers one, the lush pin striped one.. I was gutted to say the least!!!
Knickers I tend to buy from Primark or Asda, they soo cheap!! Bra's however, as posts have mentioned before, I cant get cheap ones in my size so tend to go Marksys or Ann Summers, altho I must say Avon and Asda are getting v.good at the bigger sizes now, Jordan the big busty model has her own range with Asda for reasonable prices :)
EDIT// Four drawers full?!! Blimey I have one knicks & bras combined and even thats a bit shabby!! lol

| British Womens Knickers Are Pants Claims New Survey... Posted: 5/23/2008 2:05:07 PM | Hello my name is Shan and I am a pantaholic... I do not possess shabby pants... I have hundreds (no exaggeration) of pairs of knickers and about 30 or 40 bras plus other bits and pieces.. I have 4 drawers full .....
I can't help it, they call to me ... I love undies .....
My knickers are for me ... I catch any man wearing em and he's in trouble ....

| British Womens Knickers Are Pants Claims New Survey... Posted: 5/23/2008 2:09:59 PM | I usually find I spend more on bras too Princess Fiona... I'm only a DD but I have a tiny back size. I go to a Camille outlet shop a lot as they have loads of styles and sizes for less than a £10. I spent £25 in there last month and got two matching sets. Where as if I go Debenhams/John Lewis etc I spend that on just a bra.
Mind I fell in love with a set I saw in Selfridges the other month.... the Thong was £400... I didn't dare look at the price of the bra!

It would be fascinating to know how much men spend on their underwear a month
It wouldn't be fascinating......... I promise you it wouldn't!
OK, now let's see. I bought a 3 pack of boxers in Next in about oooh, 2005 or so. They were horrendously expensive at £15 so I have to make sure I get my money's worth. I reckon they still have a good 3 years wear left in them (Hey, there's no substitute for quality you know!) so they will have lasted 6 years by the time I have to spend again.
So that's about £2.50 a year by my reckoning. Hang on!! That's nearly 5p a week!!
Mental note........... try to make them last another 5 years!
