Two were awarded to chopper pilots who flew their unarmed Huey's in to re-supply the troops and evacuate the wounded after the Medevac choppers refused to fly in to the LZ because of the gun fire.
2. The Green Berets - The Duke, John Wayne baby!!
3. The Longest Day - The landing at Normandy...that says it all. Also Army Rangers climbing up sheer cliffs while German machine gunners are waiting at the top firing down at them...intense.
4. Battle of Midway - Classic all Star cast. Charlton Heston bites it when he crashes and burns trying to land on the carrier. Excellent battle footage.
5. The Band of Brothers series - Outstanding! | |
