| the Julia Couillard Scandal- waste of time ????? Posted: 5/26/2008 4:51:56 AM | So, what do you make of this scandal with Julia Couillard?
Is it really worthy of all this hoopla or is this just another blatant waste of tax payers money. You have to admit that her list of relationships are a bit odd going from two Hells Angels guys ( one she married ) on to a relationship with our Foreign Affairs Mininster. It's not like you would be running in the same circles of friends although who knows? Hells angels - polititians are not exactly the same types or are they?
My opinion is that I would imagine the biker guys would be more worried about what she could spill on those boys rather than Canadian Government secrets.
What do you think? | |

Unfortunately it's not as flashy, so it didn't get half the attention it deserved.

She was married to a Hells Angel, in fact one of its top guys. Now she is dating our Foreign affairs minister. She cuurently holds a job with an airport security firm. How do you suppose drugs get into any country, trust they swallow it anymore. If the best you can do is troll through threads, find something else to do.
Even if this didn't rate a serious discussion, at least it had some merit for some good humour of which I doubt you are capable of.

It's impropper to end a sentence with a preposition.
Better: Even if this didn't rate a serious discussion, at least it had some merit for some good humour of which I doubt you are capable.
Now be a good boy and stop picking on Santa.

| What a bonehead... Posted: 5/26/2008 6:13:47 PM | Considering the Minister of Foreign Affairs has now resigned...guess it wasn't a waste of time after all.
Embattled Foreign Affairs Minister Maxime Bernier has resigned from cabinet over a security breach involving classified documents, Prime Minister Stephen Harper told reporters on Monday.
The resignation came ahead of a French-language television interview of Bernier's former girlfriend, to be aired later Monday, in which she reportedly says Bernier was careless with documents.
Harper said he accepted Bernier's resignation after learning late Sunday that Bernier had inadvertently left the documents in an unsecured location. It was unclear what was in the documents.

Ms. Couillard said that she told Mr. Bernier about the biker past of her ex-husband and ex-boyfriend from the “very beginning” of their relationship. The two had been seeing each other for more than a month before he asked her to be his official companion for the purposes of taxpayer-funded government travel, she said. “Already then, Maxime was completely aware of everything.”
So someone you know for a month can travel on official government business, a diplomatic trip. This is a serious brech of security. People we hire off the street require a security clearance before coming to work for us. I remember when the G7 summit was in Halifax afew years ago, we couldn't even go on board our own ships without a security clearance or an escort. But some stripper can travel the world scot free after dating a guy for month. That's messed up.
