| Why do Women Buy super exotic cars?
Posted: 5/28/2008 11:40:28 AM | I'm not trying to sound sexist or anything but I was wondering why a lot of women buy super exotic cars. Recently Ive been seeing a lot of woman in High End porshces like CGTs and in Lambos are ferarris. Where I live this is very uncommon...most woman buy range rovers or bently GT....or something comfortable and practical.
I understand why many guys buy these toys....In short I think it has a lot to do with our masculinity and just the way were socialized. Honestly, 99 percent of the reasons why I would buy a super car wouldn't apply to most women so im just wondering where their mindset is at. Is it mainly a status thing? | |

Yeah im trying to figure out number 1? these arent exactly the safest or most comfortable cars. Like ppl joke about it being an extention of ur penis but there is some truth to that. A guy can emasculate another guy in front of his girl just by pulling up next to them in a nice car. I don't see women buy cars for that reason... | |

Yeah im trying to figure out number 1? these arent exactly the safest or most comfortable cars.
Not all women go for safety and comfort,women also like to take risks and love the thrill of a super car.Those that have the funds available to buy such cars have probably already taken calculated risks in business etc to be in such a position.As with men they will see the car as a grown up toy and a great way to relieve the stress of day to day life. | |

Did you ever think that they may just want to buy the car because she thinks it's a HOT car and just wants it (???).
A woman DOES NOT need to have a hidden agenda or reason (to do with the opposite gender) to make a purchase. Our thought process and actions do not revolve around men!!!!

Posted: 5/28/2008 11:55:03 AM | It is becoming more and more common for women to concentrate on career and themselves and not necessarily "settling down" at a young age. When this is the case many times the women are either single or in a relationship with no children so the cars you mention do become practical when you are talking the need to only have 1 or 2 occupants.
also I am not saying women with children do not like or want these cars as well and they very well may have them also, Lease rates are quiet low on cars like that and make getting something that would have been out of the question much easier - dual cars is more the status quo now then ever.
So it is possible what you are seeing is nothing more then the change in socioeconomic principles and people having the ability to buy these items because of higher pay scales. | |

Ya know...that just doesnt make any sense to me whatsoever.
Wouldnt even remotely occur to me that a guy pulling up in a flash car next to my man's...would in some way emasculate him in my eyes atleast.
Men must do it to impress other men and not women Im sure.
Doesnt mean a woman doesnt appreciate a nice car...but we dont really care.
Honestly women that are impressed by shiney fast things (unless they have a genuine interest in cars)...are likely not the smartest tool in the box <<< hehe I made a joke.
That being said...I like those Chrysler PT cruisers...they're cute.
And whether they're economical or not...that'd be the only reason Id buy one...which is likely why women buy those other flash cars.
Think of it like...umm shoes...we women often buy and wear shoes that look fabulous but are a pain in the ass, cost a fortune and just arent practical.
Kinda like flash cars *lol*
I wonder if a man looks at my shoes...and when another girl "pulls up" next to me wearing a more expensive flashier pair...it somehow depreciates my femininity. I think not.

I just bought an 06, they are economical, and a heck of a hoot to drive. As well they can be tricked out, and there are PT cruiser clubs to join, and get out in the REAL world in, and see how more tricked out you can make them...
OP, women like hot cars, and always have, in fact until the past ohhh 20 or 30 yrs, we had been taught the fine line of Boys get to have their toys, and girls are happily strapped down to the family, the kids, and are over joyed to get a new vaccum cleaner, or dishwasher wooo Fing hoo...
Women not only like hot flashy cars, but they like riding motor cycles that THEY own, owning their own boats ( own a beautiful 17 ft ski/fishing boat) and all the other cool toys you boys have gotten to play with for a very long time.
However the difference for us women is that we aren't trying to impress anyone, because we have learned the joy of just getting out there and playing with these toys...
Fast muscle cars....Yesssss the speeds that they can take you, the rumble of the pipes as you slowly rev that baby up...Mental orgasm waiting to happpen...

Nothing wrong with that if you're not the one stuck with the car/insurance payments, right?
I almost bought a black BMW last year and if it weren't for the unpredictable climate I have to endure June through November (Hurricane season), I would have. I purchased a 4-wheel drive Nissan SUV last year instead because I have animals and needed the extra room in case of an emergency evacuation off the island.
I think its great women are buying exotic cars, just as men have throughout history..I just wish I knew someone that drove a dang Ferrari..all of my female friends down here drive jaguars!!

Also this hobby is a lifestyle. Down here in So cal you have car clubs for most makes out here. If you ever go in the hills of LA on most weekends you will find car clubs on a cruise. Lambo's, Ferrari's, Porche's etc. Its a way to socialize with other people who love cars and have the extra money to get what they want. I will head out that way from time to time because I love those cars myself. I am a car guy without the budget as my old college professor said to me one day.
To me it is no different from any hobby, it just has a higher price tag to support the hobby. | |

It's primal instinct. Many guys can fight it, but it's as primal as jealousy.
When a guy is with his girlfriend, witnesses another man display a type of status symbol that puts his too shame, there is a hard-wired gut instinct that it threatens one of the factors involved in his girlfriend considering him attractive. Females in nature are attracted to the alpha male.
It's a ping sensation. Fast and hard.
It isn't something we manually initiate. It begins as an involuntary feeling. Cursed nature. lol
