Professional bull riding competition - what i can expect to see?
Posted: 5/28/2008 4:22:51 PM
I've got a date with my 18 year old grandaughter tomorrow night. The Newcastle Entertainment Centre is putting on a professional bull riding competition come exhibition. A local boy who hails from the area, and rides on the professional circuit in the USA, Brendon Clark is bringing the show to town. I'ts my first time to this type of entertainment, my grandsquid & her friends are excited because there's real live Cowboys coming to town. Anyone on here seen the show yet, and can enlighten me on what i can expect to see. I believe it was in Qld. last week. Cheers.

I have been to a very small number of rodeos. I have not seen an animal injured. You'll see loads of crazy guys getting on big bulls, gates being flung open, bulls jumping all over the place and crazy guys going flying in the air, and eating dirt. Not to mention the odd hoof in the wedding tackle.

The bulls buck because of a rope tied around them. When the cowboy falls off the rodeo clown runs in and releases the rope.

After saying all that, my daughter did a school asignment on rodeos and sometimes animals will be injured. We no longer go to them for that reason.

mate, i hope you enjoy it.
if it's in the entertainment centre, you should be up pretty close to the action.
i used to compete in the odd rodeo as a kid and really enjoyed it. never ridden a bull though.
sounds like you'll be in good company too!
have fun...
