AND FORCE THE THINGS THAT CANNOT BE
THE PAIN INSIDE IT GROWS SO DEEP
TILL ALL THATS LEFT FOR ME IS SLEEP
WHEN I AWAKE THE PAINS STILL HERE
I FEEL CONSUMED BY ALL MY FEAR
WITHOUT A WARNING HE TOUCHES ME
AND ALL AT ONCE I START TO SEE
THAT LIFE IS FILLED WITH UPS AND DOWNS
SOMETIMES A SMILE,SOMETIMES A FROWN
IT IS AT THESE TIMES I MUST SURRENDER
I PRAY TO GOD THAT I'LL REMEMBER

Of all the pain I feel inside
What I feel is most enlightend
For without pain no joy is had
Darkness falls no turning back
Yet with each day a new sunrise

When once I see the light I feel
warmth of him;
I begin again and kneel
Tis beauty in the universe

too soon to know; too late to ask why?
The Moon it shared an eerie existence...
Stars all smiled in appreciation!
Sometimes life is so unforseen
Within dark edges , something gleams!
We live so long on the edge of gone....
Wonder why life is so damn wrong!
Once in awhile a flower grows...
beneath the moss, so overgrown!
I say nurture it and who really knows?
Could be the garden you intended ...to grow!
Tending to grow my garden well...
Maybe what I found , could cure my Hell!

What has left me and killed me
I find something left to save me
Another day to find me I say it is ;
Whatever I did wrong last time
may I not make the same mistake
again!
Maybe it was not all my fault
yet guilt rides me....
I give it my blessing..cause its already
gone away!
If the past is our steeple...my church
who are my people?
I am finding they are those that give me hope
The sunshine in mmmmmmy life
that fill my soul!
Suddenly you are mine...
brighter than sunshine!!!!!!!
What a feeling....
dissolved in essence of sweet jasmine
I smell it sweetly...like an essence of sweet air!
Completely...new and whole...

as the night comes in a faliin the dogs loose thier bark
and the silent night was shattered
from the sounds inside my mind
as in one to many mornings....and 1000 miles behind
from the crossroads of my doorstep my eyes start to fade
And turn my head back to the room where my love and i have laid
i gaze back to the street,to the sidewalk and the sign
and i'm just one to many mornings...and 100 miles behind
is the restless hungry feeling,that don't mean noone no good
when everything i'm saying you can say it just as good
your right from your side,i'm right from mine

Like a Rolling Stone
was a Bob Dylan tune,
the one that Dylan penned but Hendrix made his own
was All Along the Watchtower
A lot of times people confuse Like a Rolling Stone with
Positively Fourth St. , slightly different stories - same theme
Out of simalarly titled songs
Personally I prefer the kick ass Robin Trower "Too Rolling Stoned" to either of those 2 Dylan efforts . The music and the actual performance is far superior to Dylan's and despite dylans overall lyrical superiority the single line
" The takers get the honey , the givers sing the blues"
is still just about as deep as hard rock has gone | |

I have only read your initial poem once and before I knew it I had a tune to it.
The part thats sung in Radiohead's 'Jigsaw falling into place' where Thom sings about looking over your shoulder "and not just once, not just twice" went well with your "WHEN I AWAKE THE PAINS STILL HERE, I FEEL CONSUMED BY ALL MY FEAR"

as far as Trower writing the deepest lines of rock and roll
i can't agree with that,i can think of a few with lines that were not only
Hard rock and roll................but had a deeper message then.....givers lose and takers win | |
