| oil price manipulation Posted: 5/30/2008 10:00:45 AM | | Saw on CNN this morning that in investigation by the CRC or whatever it's called is going on due to eveidence of manipulation by the speculators on these high oil prices, in other words they are driving up prices so high falsely & just to make a ton of money. They were deregulated in 2003 & have been pushing all the limits & clearly breaking rules, if there were any in place.. Wow finally the congress is noticing all this and getting involved saying we want the report by next week. So the "official report" that we've all been just been too stupid & happy to pay rip off prices, will be out ASAP. The reporter actually said, when it comes out to say what we believe it will the US people are going to be very angry. Really? will this finally get them outraged?? doubt it. But I have said for years all these price increases were just the government allowing it to go on & sure enough I was right! the deregulation the Bush adm. implemented allowed this whole mess. hate to say it but "told you so" ! | |

| oil price manipulation Posted: 5/30/2008 11:25:06 AM | | how come you don't mention that the price of oil is relevant to the amount the US dollar drops every week. gas prices are high, yes, but made higher by the dwindling status of our dollar. | |

| oil price manipulation Posted: 5/30/2008 11:35:55 AM | Hey now, what's all this then. I just came back from my oil company and saw this on the news. Hold on a second.
*lights 100 dollar bill, then lights cigar*
Ahhh. Where was I? | |

| oil price manipulation Posted: 5/30/2008 12:44:10 PM | | Agreed Dr.Nelson, the low worth of our dollar does have alot to do with it & oil would be much higher than in the recent past (should be $60 a barrel & was $19 a barrel in 2002) So even with the bad exchange rates with the euro etc ( which has gone down again some as of late) the price of oil should be no where near $135 a barrel. | |

| oil price manipulation Posted: 5/30/2008 1:25:37 PM | | The money managers needed to put their profits from the housing markets into something. It's oil and food today, where are the commodity speculators going to invest next? | |

| oil price manipulation Posted: 5/30/2008 1:42:07 PM | Well, with the price of gas, "going out" for dinner and a movie is too expensive, so a lot of people are staying home.
I'm guessing invest in condoms, and in case of product failure, prenatal vitamins, and in about 8-9 months, disposable diapers... | |

| oil price manipulation Posted: 5/30/2008 9:48:22 PM | | The only bright side to this oil issue is I get to ride my bicycle more often and save on fuel costs. I dunno what I'll do in the winter though, snowshoe to work? | |

| oil price manipulation Posted: 5/30/2008 9:58:01 PM | | This subject although poignant, is getting beat to death. Face it folks, it’s an issue that has been blatantly, and purposefully, manipulated. There’s something else behind this scam that we may never see. Oil is plentiful. China is growing, but still not as developed as we are. All these factors play into the media’s government issue reasons. But again, let’s face it. Democracy is dead, we now live in a republic. | |
