| Pardon me, but why do guys take so long to come?
Posted: 6/5/2005 12:45:15 AM | I can answer this because I'm often "slow".
Here are my reasons that I think affect me sometimes:
o It's 3am, I don't usually get enough sleep, and I'm really tired. The sex chemical in my brain is keeping me awake, but fatigue is keeping me from enjoying it as much as I should.
o I "helped myself" last night, or a few hours earlier, so I'm not as needy (this means I should have had self control when I got the impulse alone, since now I've made real sex less superb).
o We've done this every night this week, and while it's all still great and fun and exciting, I'm not in great need (need a few days of anticipation and no action).
o Despite being excited and motivated during sex, I still have a lot of life issues weighing on me, so I'm generally not mentally all there.
o I'm saturated on porn lately (not helpful, not ideal - see "self control" above), so sex is like walking.
o If she's trying to get me there orally, I just personally haven't learned how to relax enough and let go completely, so it doesn't happen quickly (or at all, unless I take over at some point).
Keep in mind, none of these are a reflection on my partner. And I must state that I generally don't have "problems" getting there, but sometimes I am slower than other times. But I'm about as far from being a "2 minute man" as possible!

Anyhow the girl really started killing the mood by asking questions like " is it me?" and stuff like that. Just seemed to be the position I was in at the time, as soon as I threw her onto her back I was done in no time lol

But, if we are talking hours later (and I mean of actual going-at-it intercourse), it can be a real pain -LITERALLY....!

Shortly after penetration, a woman's vagina expands to accommodate the penis inside it. While this is a much needed aspect of sexuality as it allows a woman do 'take' a variety of shapes and sizes, it does usually mean less friction for a man.
As others have said, try more foreplay beforehand or after penetration. There's no rule that says the penis has to stay inside the vagina till orgasm. Pull the lil fella out, smack him, stroke him, lick and suck him. I personally need a lot of variety and find myself wanting position changes fairly frequently. Changing positions is a great way to 'trick' the vagina and make it change its internal shape again. In the meantime, it should feel much tighter and enjoyable for the both of you. | |
