| POF Sunday Brunch At Fresgos in Surrey Sunday, June 29th!
Posted: 6/3/2008 1:06:02 AM | Ok Folks its that time again to start getting ready for the next POF Sunday Brunch!
When: Sunday, June 29th from 11am until 2pm
Where: Fresgos Restaurant in Surrey.
Area: We gather together inside at the back of the restaurant after ordering any food if you want any. So please, any newbies feel free to approach me, I'm the one in the wheelchair and I'll introduce you to as many fish as possible.
Looking forward to the first Summer Brunch. Hope the weather next month on that sunday was as nice as it was last month.

Its awesome to see everyone lookin forward to coming out to the next brunch!
I must appologise for taking so long to check back to the site, but my Father has fallen ill and I've been spending a tonne of time with hime in Intensive Care Unit. Things have been touch and go for a couple of days now and he's not outta the woods as of yet. But like me, (more then me) He is 100% Irish and a great big stubborn person, just like me, (ooops, did I just say that!)
Anyways, I'm off to sleep for a couple of hours and then back to the hospital.
Check in again, sooner rather then later.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that he is able to join us at the brunch. the brunch is never the same without him.

time at the hospital visiting his Dad. His Dad died this morning. He is going to be with family
for the next day or two to try and plan the funeral. Understandably, he won't be posting in
the forum for awhile.
Spud, my sincere condolences to you and your family during this very difficult time. Your
friends are here for you bud.

Posted: 6/12/2008 3:02:01 PM | | I know its not easy to loose a parent. I for one lost my father only two months ago and this past Sunday would have been his 84th birthday. So in that regaurds I understand where Spud is emotionally right now. On the other hand...some things should remain private. I am sure Spud knows how many peoples lives he touches through his many posts on POF.There have been manyyyy times in the past that his friends here have supported him in many ways and sometimes over and above what might have been expected. Perhaps we should give him some time to grieve privatly and those who have met him or have chatted to him could send him some e mails directly to him ...thus saving him time having to scroll through the forums to find folks regaurds and saving him time to be with his family. For everyone who has every gone through a loss ....we each handle it differently, no one way is right or wrong. | |

Posted: 6/12/2008 5:20:38 PM | I just want to take a moment to thank everyone for all of your kind words and support during this very hard time in my life. I have always in way or another/for one reason or another, found/had support from both friends and complete strangers form this site/pond. And for that, I will always be greatful.
Every minute that I find myself awake, I find myself with tears in my eyes, and a hole in my heart. But given some time, this too shall pass. Now, I know that the amount of time between now and the brunch will not be anywhere near enough time. BUT, by then I will be soo looking forward to spending some time with my fellow fishy friends.
I do agree with behindthescenes. I very much appreiciate the show of support that you all have shown/given to me, but would definatley find it easier for anyone that wishes to express support, to do so by sending anything to my profile: jspudotoole and not the brunch thread.
And as was already mentioned, even though I will be checking in every once in a while. I will most likely be away from the pond for about a week until after my fathers funeral.

was asked by some if the riders r going to be meeting up again after the sunday surrey brunch? knew they used to do this b4 but wasn't sure so anyone know please let me know so I can pass this info to my buddy fishie friends! | |
