We reviewed crap out of his profile. It went in one ear and out the other each time. We repeatedly tried to help and he repeatedly kept asking how to fix it and how to get messages or replies or favourites. It was futile, as will this be.

This time, we are going to write the About Me section, and I would appreciate any input to help him along the way. I will be happy to start it, and I am, here.
OP First I'm going to copy your about me section onto this page, and then I am going to evolve it into a profile that will work for you hopefully. I will also, along with the other members, if they have the courage, try to explain as best as I can why things do, and do not work. And yes, I'm going to try this without my normal rude comments. That is what I recommend for your profile. Nothing more in the about me section. The way you have it listed is very tiring on the mind and eyes. A profile should tell a story about you, but only a small part of the story. Let them get to know you slowly. Your build/age/profession are already listed. No need to mention you like online dating because this is an online dating site. Don't mention the 2nd house as it will only attract gold diggers. Real women don't care about money. They only care that you are true as to who you are and treat them with respect and dignity.
Take this suggestion and let me see how it looks. Adjust it a little to help fit your personality more. I will be happy to come back and help more if you need it and would like it Demolition!!! | |

We could have written ten profiles already but whether he takes them is the problem. Another problem is that profile doesn't fit the bill for the OP. The women would email him but he'd be harshly rejected when they realized that personality wasn't him. No offense to you OP, but you know as well as I do, and likely we do, that this one isn't you and it'd be deceitful. Tell us if you want a review already and maybe Gov will tailor another edition to your personality. I'd be more than happy to, if I knew it would be worth my time.

I am getting the impression this OP does not understand sarcasm and such. I tried to tone it down for him and I would really like the help. Maybe you can post one that will work and he might take. Seems you have a ton more experience with this poster.
EDIT: I am touched that so many people seem to care about this OP, my inbox is filling up with thank yous. While I appreciate them and all, it would be much better to post suggestions to this thread that will help create a profile for this member that is truly representative of him. Since many feel that the suggestion I made will not work in the long run for him, then please, take it. Edit it and repost it so that it will work.
This member deserves just as good of a profile as every other member on this site, and what I am learning quickly is everybody (okay, a lot of people) really do love Demolition18. So, please, let's create a profile that will work for him. | |

There is a reason this OP has difficulty communicating with people, especially women. His current profile looks to be about as good as he can get it, with all the suggestions that have been made.
I personally suggested there may be more effective sites for the OP, where people might be more accepting and understanding of him than PoF. As far as I know, that suggestion has been ignored or dismissed outright. | |

Most of what I know is based on my memory of the other (trainwrecked) thread. Apparently, he owns one or more homes in New Jersey, but I really don't know how he came by his financial situation. I figured out that he has special needs long before he admitted to autism in a separate thread.
What I do suspect is that he needs to have certain things explained to him in detail. Every autistic person is different but as strangers, we need to guess at what's the best way to get him to process information. Once he gets it, I bet he really gets it.
I suspect that he'll have problems processing metaphors, sarcasm and most forms of humour. He may get hyperfocused on an issue or two and I think for PoF, that issue is his hard limit on dealing with people who smoke. I'm on the fence as to whether he should mention his autism on his profile. On the one hand, it may help the people he contacts to understand the disjointed nature of his emails. On the other hand, there's that issue of him being set up as some sort of easy mark.
I don't know the best way to handle him, but I think some here were/are being a bit insensitive. I may chime in tomorrow, but I've been laying low for personal reasons. We'll see. In a nutshell, that's what I said and that's why I avoided the other thread. Believe me, I read every word of it.
