| Vote All Incumbents Out Posted: 6/5/2008 9:16:12 PM | I had this forwarded to me after I read it I decided to share it with all of you. It is somewhere to start, however, I do wonder about "change for the sake of change". Although this is an easy method of starting the ball rolling I also think we should look more closely at some that hold positions and may actually hold a record true to their election platform if they are indeed serving the people. What is the collective opinion in such a plan to reseat just on the basis of change?
We the Voter
The only reason the American taxpayers are receiving economic stimulus checks is because our elected officials (the Congress, the Senate, and the President) have failed to do their jobs and perform the duties for which they were elected and have sworn to do.
For over 30 years, politicians have been elected and re-elected, and re-elected to office running on perpetual failed promises. Promises to fix Social Security. It's still broke! Promises to fix our economy. still broke! Since the oil crisis of the 1970s, literally thousands of politicians have run on platforms promising to lessen America's dependency on foreign oil, yet here it is nearly 40 years later and they have yet to produce an effective energy bill. Fue l prices are at all time highs with no end in sight and our blundering, inept, and self-serving Congress is neither willing, nor have they the steadfast determination to fix these or any of the problems facing our country. More recently they have ballyhooed an unwavering resolve to secure our borders, to provide affordable healthcare, to protect our environment, to stop the illegal drugs from entering our country, provide affordable prescription drugs, and to even fix our voting system to make sure every vote is counted. Failed, Failed, Failed, Failed, Failed.
Vote All Incumbents Out
Big government is not the answer to our problems but an effective and working government is. Washington DC is in an indolent quagmire and is in bad need of cleaning and the American vote is the broom. Its time for the American people to cut loose their representatives and Vote All Incumbents Out of office. Lets face it, if in your company, these persons had been working for you, you would have fired them long ago and never looked back.
Vote All Incumbents Out
This year is an election year and the DNC and RNC are once again using the 2008 presidential race to lure focus away from the congressional and senatorial races. They are all counting on this calculated slight of hand to draw attention away from their failed promises and lies. This fall, in addition to voting for a new president, we will be voting for a whole lot of the seats in congress and its time to clean house.
Vote All Incumbents Out
Terminating an employee is not an easy thing to do. On November 4th when you go to the polls and look down at your voting machine, and do something that our Congress can't.. Hold steadfast and determined. Gain resolve by reminding yourself of why you are standing there about to be heard. Remind yourself of the power of your voice, the power of your vote, and the responsibility you hold. Remind yourself of the responsibility you owe to your neighbors, your fellow Americans, and your sister states.... Remind yourself of your responsibility to our seniors, our children, and our children's children.
It doesn't matter whether you are a Democrat, Republican, Independent, Reform, or Green party member, or what ever. The most important thing to do is to Vote All Incumbents Out and remind our government to whom they owe their servitude.
The opposite of teamwork is politics. If We The People...If We The Voter, can work together as a team and Vote All Incumbents Out we will send a message to Washington that will undoubtedly educate them first hand on what a little teamwork from a BIG team can accomplish. .. I don't think it will be long before they hear this message. Those that remain may even begin to understand what a promise means.
Before you get to the polls, do your home work and make sure you know who the incumbents are. Make sure you know who you want to vote for.
Past legislation in most states have conveniently had this information removed from the ballet to prevent the "They-can't-think-for-themselves" voter from ousting the incumbents
There are two equally important things you should do. 1st send this letter on to as many people as you can, and 2nd,

| Vote All Incumbents Out Posted: 6/6/2008 5:00:26 AM | Well, that throws the baby out with the bathwater, in my opinion.
One needs to first send a clear message by voting the present administration out - and anyone that follows their example....no names.
Then, and only then, the American people have to start to work together to expose and remove the corruption and influence of the main groups that are the cause of the problem.
1) the military-industrial complex 2) Corporations 3) the aristocracy
Strict laws have to be demanded (by the American voting public) that remove these corrupting influences from exerting their inevitable effect on ANYONE in politics.
When a quarter of Congress (both parties) have investments in defense stocks - war is inevitable and hard to stop.
When the aristocracy only profits from war, and doesn't have to send it's children to fight in them - war is inevitable.
When politicians work in corporations, then serve in government, then return to corporations - the entire machine starts to break down, as those walls fall.
Religious groups have to be minimized in the political process, in the traditional American historical sense that always existed up until recent history. That's another contamination that risks making a mess of good government.
The entire election process should be funded from only public funding, and that funding should come from a preset part of your taxes paid going to such a fund. Out of the total taxes paid, a fixed sum could be allocated for an election fund.
That would instantly level the playing field, as no one could be bought off by lobbyists and other powerful outsiders.
A federal law could be made to limit any salary increases to all politicians, when their area of government is in a deficit position - outside of those times when war is declared officially.
At the end of the year, if taxes did not exceed expenses - no raise in salary or benefits, just like private sector jobs require.
All of this requires strong bipartisan support for a common improvement of the nation's government. | |

| Vote All Incumbents Out Posted: 6/6/2008 8:48:05 PM | Yeah, I thought the same MG, there are good people in office but the bad ones "get them" out of the way. I would hope people would look at a candidate closley before making a decision. That would be the greater message. Involvement is the first step and people have to start making better selections and following up with progress or things are not going to improve.
