Shedding skin
Posted: 6/6/2008 12:21:04 PM
I went for a wicked long bike ride yesterday in the heat and sun and unfortunately my head burned like crazy cause I didn't wear protection.

Now my head is flaking like mad and it looks like I have amazing dandruff.

I have some where to be tonight and I can't go with my head flaking like snow...can I get rid of this flaky skin quickly, like before tonight? I have tried rubbing it off and showering but it just comes back.

Ummm...that will make the dead skin go away? Isn't it a little late for that?

I don't have hand lotion or aloe or anything like that...

I'm thinking maybe a sponge or something to just scrap off the dead skin but it just keeps coming back.

Maybe I'm morphing into a beautiful butterfly...

Wear a hat?

Or a toque - it's popular with teens year-round so you won't look too weird. :)

Ummm...well for starters...I'm not a teen...I'm almost 30. Secondly, I invented that look some 20 years ago and everyone thought I was stupid. Pffft.

Eh...alright...I'll goto shoppers drug mart and buy some cream I guess...but when people see it they'll tease me about using it for other purposes: Baking, Cleaning, Masterbating.

Oh, and whats with the "ew" remark???

I'M TURNING INTO A BEAUTIFUL BUTTERFLY *slams hands on imaginary table*

You know, won't cream on my head be bad for my hair? How will the follicles breathe?

You are bald silly, your follicles don't need to breathe! I agree, you need to moisturizer your skin. Poor guy, surely you can explain to the girl that you are shedding like a lizard cuz you friend your head. And next time, wear a hat!!!!

I still have hair it's just shaved. Especially on the back of my head...in fact their is visible hair, but my head is too sensitive to shave, which raises another concern. Won't my peach fuzz hair look retarded covered in creme.

I wanted to tan, which you can't with a hat, but unfortunately I burned.

I'm a caveman...

Does that mean I can club women over the head and just drag them home with me after the bar???

No Real cave men don't club women, they just drag them home by the hair. Try to moisturizer I'm sure it will help. And next time, at least wear sunscreen even if you don't want to wear a hat. You don't want to get skin cancer on your purdy little head!

Been there done that!.Exfoliate with a loofa or whatever you call it.Not manly but owell..Then hit your dome with a splash of olive oil..Once again not very manly but it works ..If the loofa doesnt cut it you could try a light grit sandpaper(very manly) ..Good luck

I guess, your 'shedding' problem is behind you by now.
I would agree with Looking : Exfoliation (scrubing) while wet and oiling would work .
Protect your head from sunrays, as it might look like a quail egg after few seasons.
Enjoy the Sun!

We haven't heard from CB in a while. Either he met a girl who likes cavemen or he flaked away into oblivion. Let's hope for his sake, it's the former.

Olive oil might work but coconut is probably better because it's not as greasy. Coconut oil is pretty expensive though. I use coconut oil for infections and as a moisturizer.

Exfoliate... Maybe even a night mask... THEN moisturize.

Hell, treat yourself to a facial ;)

Could always think about wearing a helmet on your head when bike riding in the future. Crazy thought I know, but I am full of them.

Glad somebody pointed this out. Even a caveman needs to protect his noggin from road rash and closed head injuries.

Sunburn is a lie made up by evil corporations to sell us microwaves full of protein that will kill us, all in league with the big bad drug companies right?
