It was worth the wait!!! I have found now lots of profiles with more than two lines!

Thank you Admin!!!!

edit: this is NOT the old search by university, but rather by the new education level (aka smarts) that was recently added to profiles.

Instead of calling it "Search for users by Smarts" why couldn't it be called "search for users by education level" ?

I agree with that. Smart does not equal education, and vice versa. One of the stupidest people I know is a PhD.

I'm not sure where you were searching before?
I've read thousands of profiles on this site, and I've noticed some thoughful, well-written profiles of people who didn't have several years of university education.

Also, using this new search feature, I can find some simple-minded profiles, lacking any meaningful content at all, of people claiming to have degrees.

Smart does not equal education, and vice versa. One of the stupidest people I know is a PhD.
Exactly.

Everyone knows at least one university-educated moron.
and
Everyone can also likely name at least one person with a limited education, who's smarter than most other people they know.

But, the wording of this feature seems to be indicating that level of education is the only measure of intelligence.
Is the owner of this site actually trying to imply that anyone without a university education is stupid? I think there's quite a few people who would have the right to be offended by that viewpoint.

I just did a Quick Search for other Browners of your Caliper. Their Profiles on average were no longer or shorter, and literary Level/Content no more "Intellectual" or "Advanced". Further, better than 1/3 of Users had false "Smarts" Selections, 21 Year olds with Post Doctorate Education. Even further, I was unable to locate anything within vitually all Profiles that suggested they were even looking for "educated" People, but were drawn to Personal Qualities instead, and the Things they liked to do, often very simple Stuff. Just a couple of cents of spare change ...

Again defensive reactions from folks about education level. Get over yourselves!

Ticket your "better than 1/3 users" stats are not convincing. You think I'm after 21-year-olds??!!? I never said they were looking for educated people; only they have more than 2-line profiles. I'm wasting less time trying to figure out if they're my type or vice versa.

Try your stats on this search (it's just bachelor's degree around Montreal, but you can try other education levels):

http://www.plentyoffish.com/school_search.aspx?iama=m&seekinga=f&minage=33&maxage=
40&college_id=13423&searchtype=&state=&City=montreal&z_code=&miles=25&cmdSearch=
Search&Profession=&country=17&save=1

Most are more than 2-liners. Enjoy reading.

It rocks!

As usual, your Assessment of "Defensive" is without Meritt in that the Information I presented is true and accurate.

Get over yourselves!

I was done with that 3 Decades ago. Now we get to you finally ... lol

I believe I never suggested you were after 21 Year olds, I however cannot prove that ... j/k ...
It was a Remark on the "Smarts" Feature itself and how prone it is to False Infos the Result of erroneous User Entries.

I never said they were looking for educated people; only they have more than 2-line profiles.

Just a few Questions on the practical Usefulness on this Feature.

Try your stats on this search (it's just bachelor's degree around Montreal, but you can try other education levels):

Most are more than 2-liners. Enjoy reading.

Comparing those that chose "Highschool" to those with Degrees, the Former, when doing a Search, have one less Individual with 2 Lines than the latter, a Stat of Irrelevance really.

defensive?
I was just pointing out the reality of this site, (which seemed to conflict with your percieved reality)

There is well written profiles, containing significant content, by some people who are not displaying an education level on their profiles.
There is also some brief profiles, containing nothing significant, of people who claim to have a higher education.

I suppose someone being a total intellectual snob, who insists on judging everyone based on education level, may refuse to accept that reality.

I just did a Quick Search for other Browners of your Caliper.

"Browners" - I'll follow with a wide open search within my age bracket and area.

PHD Results: 5 profiles

3 had 3 lines.
1 had 4 lines.
1 blank other than a song.

Masters: 25 profiles

4 paragraphs (not bad actually)
4 lines
3 lines
1.5 lines
4 - 2 line paragraphs
4 lines of dots
2.5 lines

etc.

I'll stop here - all recited pretty much what is already gleaned from the fill-in boxes, most recited that they are attractive and intelligent.

Conclusion: Not much other than the obvious wall mounted piece of paper - shrug.

"Browners"

I believe that is an "Ontarionism" ... ... in Highschool, informally referring to Students with extremely high Grades, destined for the far Reaches of higher Learnings, Brown-Nosing Teachers, often witnessed frequenting the Hallways between Periods bearing a taped-on Sign to their Backs with something along the Line of: "Kick me, I am a ___"
