Posted: 6/7/2008 5:36:45 PM | I saw a hilarious commercial the other day. This couple came into their kitchen with groceries. The woman started talking to their cats in her funny cat voice. This went on for a few minutes. When she stopped, the man just looked at her and said,
"Are you all right?"
Lots of people have a funny kind of voice tone for babies, dogs and cats. It's kinda expected for babies. With dogs, the voice is usually a very excited tone with a goal toward causing the dog to jump around and wag their tails. However, it's a little different with cats. They bring out the really funny cat voice in people, and it causes the cat to roll around, purr, and rub the more you talk to them like that. A funny cat voice really goes to the extreme.
Do you have a funny cat voice? If so, would you allow your romantic interest to hear you talk like that? Guys, what if you heard your date talking with her funny cat voice? Would it turn you off?
I have four cats, but wouldn't talk to them like that in front of people. That's for our private time! | |

Posted: 6/7/2008 8:52:40 PM | Some here the funny cat voice! I have a grandson that just turned one today so there is always lots of baby talk and anyone around me will hear it. My nephew looks at me and says "aunt christi why do you talk like that" kids!
I'm not shy about showing my other voices! One of the ladies in the office brought her new little doggie to the office the other day and as he got out of the car he heard all of us doing the "ah dusty what a cute wittle puppy" talk..... | |

Then again upon serious reflection and knowing how scary looking most of my limited dates are......the name BUTTHEAD would do the trick most likely winning the heart of the before mentioned BUTTHEAD uttered in my best cat voice. I got it. I will execute this incredible plan now and will soon wed BUTTHEAD! Love at last! | |

Posted: 7/3/2008 2:00:01 PM | If I am dating a guy, I am ME.... all the way. If he wouldn't like my voice when talking to my cat or grand baby or anyone, he can take a flying leap. I am sure I will have to accept a lot of things from him for a long term relationship. It's all give and take. If he can't take my voice in those circumstances, what will he accept with things much more important than something so small. Besides, he might find that adorable about me and we would become closer.
Life is so short to worry about such trivial things. If someone has an issue on such things he isn't worth the time to bother with.
Some people HATE cats and would rather kill them to talk to them in any kind of voice... another disqualifier of mine in dating someone. 
Takes all kinds to build a world.. thank goodness!! How boring it would be otherwise. | |

To answer your question Doc - I have a voice to my dogs and for my dogs - yes I converse for my dogs and yes my bf hears it and like everyone else remembers that I'm the crazy dog lady and carries on - is it bad that he's starting to do it too? hahaha | |

I love to start kissing a woman and mutter sweet Elmer fuddisms into her ear just to see her break out laughing.
A woman is extremely beautiful when she laughs and I really enjoy trying to make a woman laugh.
Admit it gets me into trouble when I break into snagglepuss saying "I did not have sexual relations with that woman even....." | |

With that sense of humor you should go far. Just don't overdo it. A little humor goes a long way. Some men seem to think being funny all the time is great. It is NOT.
You seem to have the balance though. Lucky woman who gets you! Make sure, though, she can make you laugh too! | |
