| does she like me Posted: 6/9/2008 2:47:31 AM | i work as a kitchen asisstant for a local cafe. i work with the chef and another asisstant. The girl in question seems overly nice ie: always laughing at my jokes funny or not, allways asking how i am and also seems very interested in what my plans are for the future. The kitchen i work in is very small but comfertably allows for 3 people. I find that at the end of the day when we are cleaning the girl (jess) presses up against me. I find her very atractive and when i first saw her i remember thinking WOW. I have never been very good at reading signals and normally what i see as flirting is usually some one being friendly. i guess what i am asking is are there certain things that woman do when they like some one that would more than likely mean they are interested and how could i drop hints to let her know that i find her attractive. | |

| does she like me Posted: 6/9/2008 3:07:47 AM | Women love confidence. I would suggest not dropping "hints" but ask her to go out for a drink or coffee after work. Sounds like she is doing most of the work to start things off between the two of you.
To answer your question, if she is pressing up against you, she is interested. Go for it.

I would say that pressing up against someone is a little stronger than just being friendly!
Like the others have said..... ask her out!! You've got nothing to lose and a whole lot to gain.

| does she like me Posted: 6/9/2008 4:43:32 AM | Sounds like she may be making a move, and this may be worth following.
However, one Q: Is this girl a co-worker? If so, you'd better search threads for "sexual harrassment" at the workplace. I'm not saying this is the case with you or her or your cafe. I'm saying that some of the innocent stuff that's nowadays construed as "harrassment," and gets people fired, is breath-taking. Politikal-Korrektness gone amok. I don't know this from personal experience, probably because I was over the hill before before this new paranoia kicked in--thank god. But what I'm reading now, right here, does capture my attention, and if I were young, I would have to pay attention.

| does she like me Posted: 6/9/2008 4:47:34 AM | You are in a great position. In my experience meeting girls at work is very very easy. sounds like this girls is into you but you NEED to get the ball rolling ASAP or she will get bored and or meet someone else. Best bet is to organise a staff night out, get a few members of work out for a few drinks and obviosly invite her. Gauge her reactions and pull the trigger when you're out. DO IT .... DO IT NOW! | |

| does she like me Posted: 6/9/2008 5:06:13 AM | next time she presses against u playfully put ur arms around her waist and hold her for a sec, make some kind of joke. i bet she will love it. give her compliments thru-out the day, tell her she has pretty eyes, or her dress is cute, or u like the color or something. be genuine. this way she will know u do think she is pretty and she will be more openly hitting on u, i bet. and give it time, us women love to be teased and a guy that isnt all about getting in our pants in one day.
i love shy guys, i know at least he aint about sleeping w everything that moves, and he has some vulnerability and innocence left, makes him 3 times more delicious. they make good lovers, because once they open, they do let u in, and they r present, attentive lovers

| does she like me Posted: 6/9/2008 6:40:58 AM | I hate to be the negative one here, but someone's got to do it!
I just hate all these threads about coworkers and their body language. Seems like everyday, there is a new one, asking us to analyze someone's body language and whether they're flirting or not. I didn't realize there were so many oblivious people out there.
What bothers me most is that often times the men seem to be grabbing at straws (IE: She smiles at me a lot, and laughs when I say funny things. We work in close proximity, and she accidentally bumped into me yesterday. Does she like me?)
Aside from the "pressing up against him" part, seems pretty normal for coworker behaviour. I'm interested to know exactly what he means about pressing up against him, as well. Does he mean that she brushes past and bumps him, or perhaps the work area is small, and when she is trying to get by, she has to sort of grab him for a second...ya know? Otherwise, she sounds like a bit of a floosie...just pressing up against random men...
Anyway, when these sort of posts come up, I reflect upon my past (professional)relationships with my male coworkers, and while I smiled, laughed, made jokes, played with my jewelry or hair, touched them on occasion, complimented them on their clothes, (or straightened them when they looked sloppy) and so on, I can assure you that I had absolutely zero romantic interest in them.
So I guess what i'm trying to say is that rather than ask a bunch of strangers, the best thing to do would be to ask her out. If a person isn't capable of knowing when a person is flirting, that's basically what it comes down to.
|
| does she like me Posted: 6/9/2008 12:03:48 PM | If a woman likes you she will generally tap you! Pressing up against you doesn't sound quite right!
I'd say either she doesn't realize what shes doing, or she is REALLY playing with you, and that could mean anything is in the cards, or nothing!
If this girl is that bold, you had better be bold in return! Ask for a definite date! Don't use the lame-ass "would you like to go out sometime" She may just like messing with the heads of shy boys!
|
| does she like me Posted: 6/9/2008 12:57:13 PM | She's a co-worker.....stay away!
And OP, I have to say when I first saw your screen name I thought it said "Gay-Isaac".

| does she like me Posted: 6/10/2008 2:51:31 AM | | thsnx for all the advise think i shall just have to go for it. it's not that i'm to shy to ask her out it is that we have to work together and if i am wrong then it may be a bit akwerd working together for a while after. | |

| does she like me Posted: 6/10/2008 7:16:12 PM | hi,
women can show many different ways that she is interested in a guy but it's such a broad range and it can be hard to tell sometimes (women are good at reading other women in this).....i don't know what you really mean by her "pressing" up against you but if you mean she is intentionally getting close to you physically then i would say she is interested in flirting with you most definitely...you're a shy guy heehe don't be scared jut ask her out ;)
|
| does she like me Posted: 6/10/2008 7:37:23 PM | You like her???????? Tell her and ask her out..................
If she´s brushing up against you because there is no room.....thats one thing, But.......if there is plenty of room and she still rubbing her boobs or butt on ya.......then its a sign................Go for it..........ask her out........
|
| does she like me Posted: 6/10/2008 7:45:00 PM | Life is short, just go for it and ask her out. Look on the bright side, if it goes badly, we will all be here to give you advice on how to get out of it. LOL | |
