And he claims that men have repeated hard ons during the night....
Some are partial, some half mast and others are ragers....
True? And how many times a night does this happen? Are they so engorged that they'll wake you from a sound sleep?

(however i have read in medical books: the body likes to tune up/tweek its machinery while were asleep). and the situations our mind dreams up at night are unbelievable: from that naughty school teacher with whips and chains or the cashier at the corner store in her short skirts to that chick in the pirates movie. and who hasn't dreamed they were a cartoon just to take a shot at jessica rabbit? -our dreams and physical symptoms are probibly the reason we wake up ready for some action...
would be the polite thing for her to wake us immediately and point out any situations you find arousing that may occur at night (or in the morning) that get your attention (as well as a prolific solution) | |

Waking up with a "woody" is not uncommon at all.
I think most women are familiar with the morning wood... but that's not what I'm talking
about.... I'm interested in the "fact" that you guys get hard quite often during the night, whilest sleepin'.....
And yes, the nice thing to do would be to "take care of that bat", but if I'm sleeping too... how am I to know!

I remember reading something once that while you're asleep lying horizontally the blood has a tendency to pool towards the center of your body. In the case of men they just happen to have whats called a penis down there where all this blood is pooling and if you payed attention in health class thats what makes a hard on. | |

It's like snoring. I don't know if I snore, but some have told me that I do.
Except for when you wake up. I can't imagine being woken up by an erection though. That's like being woken up by erect nipples.

It's just a normal thing, but it's a "pita" when you're trying to roll over.

The technical name for nighttime erections is "nocturnal penile tumescence," or NPT. A study on the relationship of NPT to the cycles of sleep was reported in the December 1965 Archives of General Psychiatry . In the study, researchers found that these nightly erections occurred during "dream sleep," also known as REM (rapid eye movement) sleep. What's still unknown is whether the content of dreams has any influence on whether or not you get an erection.
To give us men some credit, it's a reasonable bet that not all of these nightly uprisings are related to erotic impulses -- we do dream of other things besides sex. Instead, think of NPT as a nourishing "blood bath" for the penis. The increased blood flow during erections brings oxygenated blood to the penis that may keep its tissues healthy. In my clinical experience, I find that when men stop having erections, their penises sometimes begin to shrink!

by the usual need to urinate in the morning!
I found that there is absolutely no rhyme or reason as to why
I do, or don't have erections during the night! Sometimes
practically all night long and other times, none that I know of!
