| | PICTURES ATTACHED AUTOMATICALLY WHEN FIRST MESSAGE IS SENTPage 1 of 1 | Hello
Why is it that females have an options in mail setting to request that a male must have a picture prior to messaging ? and the males do not have that option!
Often, after getting a reply from a female I will see all of my photos attached in the email i sent, but I DIDNT attach them myself!
This feature is silly and not right. If i want to attach a picture I would. It shouldnt be done automatically!
Thanks Tony

Why is it that females have an options in mail setting to request that a male must have a picture prior to messaging ? and the males do not have that option! I've seen men with that mail setting on their profiles. It's the second last item on the Mail Settings page. Have another look. You must have missed it.
Often, after getting a reply from a female I will see all of my photos attached in the email i sent, but I DIDNT attach them myself! If you're mailing someone with that restriction I believe you have to attach at least one picture, or the system will automatically send all of them.

Should have nothing to do with Replies, unless she changed the Image Requirements in her Mail Settings after she had received your E-Mail.
If you e-mail someone who has Mail Settings to restrict contact from those who do not have a publically visible Image on their Profile, all your Hidden Images are automatically attached. If you do not have any Images on your Profile, your Message simply won't go through.
Therefore, and in Summary, if you wish to hide your Pics, only upload those Images to your Profile you want others to see who have Mail Settings Restrictions requiring Profile Images in order to be contacted.

| PICTURES ATTACHED AUTOMATICALLY WHEN FIRST MESSAGE IS SENT Posted: 8/26/2008 5:13:31 PM | Just checking... is that the reason when I send off an email to some people and they reply, I'm horrified to see ALL OF MY PHOTOS were sent?
I'm afraid they think I'm over doing it a bit by checking ALL my pictures... but if it's their setting, well then, I feel better about that.

| PICTURES ATTACHED AUTOMATICALLY WHEN FIRST MESSAGE IS SENT Posted: 6/20/2009 12:59:42 PM | I agree that it's a silly feature (in my opinion)...and it's also redundant - if our picture is already on our profile, then there should be no need to attach any photos to our email.
On the other hand, if our picture is NOT on our profile, then attaching a thousand more pictures still won't bypass a "no pic on profile" filter = redundant.
And yes I know that attaching one takes care of the problem, but when I email people, specially a woman or a man I'm not interested in romantically, it looks stupid attaching one of my pics when my pics are ON my profile already.
But if I forget to attach one (like I almost always do), every one of my pictures get sent, which makes me look both stupid and full of yourself.
Then you have to send another email saying oups sorry, didn't mean to flood your inbox with my mug and no, I'm not hitting on you or vain or anything.
And I know I'm not the only one feeling this way because I've received a lot of mail from people who were embarrassed of having all their photos sent also, so there:)

sure, but what' s the point of attaching them if they're ALREADY visible to EVERYONE? Because there's no guarantee they'll still be visible on your profile by the time the recipient reads your email.
Some people make their profile pictures visible to get around the mailing restriction, then remove them or make them private. If a picture is attached to the email, a copy of it is stored in a different place than the pictures on the profile, ensuring the attached picture won't disappear.

| PICTURES ATTACHED AUTOMATICALLY WHEN FIRST MESSAGE IS SENT Posted: 6/20/2009 6:23:58 PM | Men have this option as well,Tony.I think it's in your mail settings, pretty sure.It would be a travesty to NOT have this feature for we are such a superficial society,God only knows what we would do if we couldn't see someone before speaking/replying to them,LOL! | |

| PICTURES ATTACHED AUTOMATICALLY WHEN FIRST MESSAGE IS SENT Posted: 12/8/2009 11:21:47 AM | Hello
I just had this exact problem, sent 4 photos to a lady by mistake. Seems that, looking under Images, that it's the pictures that have the Public box ticked. Could be wrong but maybe that's the reason? Moderator could say yes/no?

The Profile Image Page permits you to upload, display, hide and have your Profile Pics rated.
Attachment of Images is a Mailing Function, and allows Selection of Pics you wish to attach to your Message.
If you are not selecting Pics for Attachment, and the User you are messaging has a Requirement in her Mail Settings that you must supply Pics, and if they are hidden, will all be automatically attached with your Message.

| Private Pictures...are they sent when I message? Posted: 9/15/2011 8:06:09 PM | It only happens automaticially when you message someone who has "Must have pictures to contact this user" as a mail setting.
If you're making contact with someone without this setting, at the bottom of the message plane you should see all your pictures, attach those you wish to send.
If you hit "Reply" to a message or use the "Quick Message" box, there is no option to attach your photos. Keep this in mind when returning messages.

| Private Pictures...are they sent when I message? Posted: 6/17/2012 10:54:45 PM | I have the must have pictures to contact me setting, but the last few days, messages are getting sent to me without pics, and I no longer see the option for this setting in my mail settings. It still appears at the bottom of my profile. Even people with no images on their profile (even private images) have messaged me.
Has this feature been removed?

Has this feature been removed? I just checked my profile, and like you, I no longer have the option to change the setting stating 'You must have a picture to contact this user.' although it remains on my Profile as a setting I had previously chosen. Hmmm.
I'm not sure if this option has now been removed for new users joining or if, like the 'hide/unhide' it's a bug which results in this option only being visible to some!

Even people with no images on their profile (even private images) have messaged me. I've had this in the past when someone has uploaded a photo to their profile in order to send a message and once sent, they then remove it. I just delete these messages as if someone isn't going to be considerate of my wishes when initiating contact and are sneaky enough to find a work around, then they aren't a match IMO.

| Private Pictures...are they sent when I message? Posted: 6/18/2012 10:18:33 AM | But with the feature, pics were always attached automatically to prevent people bypassing the picture requirement. For the last week or so, no messages have had any pics attached (automatic or otherwise), up until then though there were always pics attached. Hope it's temporary, but the option vanishing makes me wonder. | |
