| | TomatosPage 1 of 1 | I work in the mall and although I usually pack a lunch I buy a drink from the food court. I've noticed that a lot of places in the food court have stopped serving tomatos on/in their food because of a (health?)issue with a US supplier. (Or something to that effect, I didn't memorize the signs)
Why wouldn't we just just buy them from a grocery store and buy locally grown tomatos instead of going without them? | |

The tomatoes in the grocery stores (at this time of year) are imported, local tomatoes won't be available till later in the season.
The safest is to grow your own, even apartment dwellers can grow a tomato plant or two in containers on their patio or balcony. | |

Well to be honest I never even knew you could get salmonella from veggies or fruits??
Sure I know you can get it from fish/chicken or meats in general. But how could you contract it from a tomato??
As an over rip tomato would be mushy ,dark dark red and smell bad also! And I know if its bad I don't eat it I toss it out!
And if you are worried about something being on your veggies or fresh fruit most people just wash them before eating them.
Well now thats another thing for you people who are so afraid to eat/drink /enjoy something to ad to your paranoid list ! 
I guess those who are so paranoid must have a list growing from day to day with everything thats bad for you or will kill you ,etc,etc!LOL

Well the tomato thing or water bottle scam don't worry me in the least and how come it is just water bottles?? Pop & alot of foods come in this same type of plastic which contains that same chemical. But hey sex kills also so don't eat/don't drink and don't have sex or drive your car!LOL
And you'll live a long long long long umm ! I forgot you wouldn't have a life worth living would you if you stop doing all those things ! But you suck if you believe all this crap! Oh don't suck as that might kill you soon also !
