Posted: 6/19/2008 12:06:01 PM | I think this was just a fluke occurrence. She said she'd already worn them a couple of times. I don't imagine they were made for durability to start with. Wonder how many other women are "endangered" by thong propelled projectiles?
My vote: unless other women come forward with evidence that the same thing happened to them, then they can't call it a faulty design. Manufacturing defect maybe.
And she didn't even have to have surgery (or I didn't catch that part if she did). They just gave her some eye drops for goodness sake. She emphasized her eye was deeply cut, not just scratched. Well, wouldn't a deeply cut eye require something more than eye drops?
