ut the past just now and was wondering what was your favourite decade of your life and why?
as I was born in '73 I will have to say the 80's not simply cause it is the one I remember the most, but simply cause it was a time when we didn't have health or saftey on everyone's back, it was a time when you could walk down the street dresses as a punk or new romantic and nobody cared!! It was the best era for movies and tv, it was without a doubt one of the best for music, not sure on the clothes mind....it was a time when we simply didn't care and everyone was relaxed, of course it was the start of the rise of the yuppies, but hey you can't get everything right lol....plus of course it had thatcher and she was just the bomb!!

Posted: 6/20/2008 12:34:45 PM | the past 10 yrs have been great - kids grown - more freedom to do what I wanted - happy in my job. All the crap after the divorce was over . We had our kids early so that we could enjoy our 40;s and boy have we! Just not together  | |

I was thin and could eat a whole bar of chocolate and not have to worry about what part of my anatomy it was going to end up on  music was great, certainly didn't feel threatened when I was out late at night, didn't bother me walking home on my own late at night, not like it would now  | |

For me personally , the noughties....became single in 05 and Im still learning about what kind of woman I am...enjoying the process x | |

Second half was a bit mad, drugs, crime and prison but eventually sorted myself out and life is now good. I would say that I am enjoying this decade, post 2004 the best. Life is definitely getting better for me so maybe the best years are yet to come? | |

Posted: 6/20/2008 3:57:48 PM | I loved the 40's when I could just play hopscotch, whip and top, or watch my brother and his friends play cricket and footy in the street. The adventure of discovery!
I loved the 50's Elvis, rock 'n' roll, the feast, dancing at the Mecca, motorbike rides to the coast!
I loved the 60's when we let our hair down and our heels! Blue beat, Motown, Blues.... more dancing! Friends for life!!!! Country Rock, into the days of flower power, peace and love!!!
I loved the 90's into the naughties when I discovered new contemporary country music... and even more dancing!!!!!

I remember those days as a time when you could walk down the street and there'd be a pretty good chance you'd step in a pile of dog poo. It's a bit like Prague now, only 20 years ago, if you see what I mean. Life is better today, 100% sure of that  . | |

Posted: 6/21/2008 1:59:20 AM | Music wise it has to be the 80's, don't think that will ever be topped.... but as a person i feel so much better about myself in the now, got a good job, got my own money, the kids are grown and my time is my own to do with whatever i feel like doing.
And , i am now past the stage of caring what people think of me, "does my bum look big in this?" etc etc, who cares? if i like it then i wear it
And i'm happy.... | |

Well, really that was just the very, early 90's, it only lasted from say '88 to about '92 before it all died out and it was all about bland trance music and gay 'Ibiza Anthems', the fashion went crap too.
I don't think I have a favorite decade, as every decade for me personally has had at least quite a few years that were really bad for me. I quite liked some of the 80's, and I loved '91 and '93. | |
