Kool Aid Pickles

* 1 14-ounce jar of whole dill pickles
* 1 cup sugar
* 2 cups water
* 2 packets of Kool-Aid, cherry flavor

1. Drain and discard the juice from the pickle jar.
2. Remove the pickles.
3. Cut each pickle in half, lengthwise.
4. Return the pickles to the jar.
5. Set aside.
6. In a large measuring cup, combine the sugar, water and Kool-Aid.
7. Mix until the sugar and Kool-Aid dissolve completely.
8. Pour enough of the liquid into the jar with the pickles to cover them.
9. Discard any leftover.
10. Cover the jar and refrigerate for 2 days.

I have made many kinds of pickles over the years, but have never seen a recipe for Kool Aid pickles.

I find this very interesting. Have you used other flavours?

I think i might try these for our next family get together. I'm assuming you could just buy the dill spears and skip the slicing the pickles in half step.

I love Kool-Aid and I like pickles but I've never heard of this. I'm interested and tempted to try it.
