It was a real pleasure to meet you all tonight. I had a nice time and truly think I made a few new friends. I hope you all came away with some positive memories. I know that some people weren't happy with the music claiming it to be for the "younger folk" but heck, I like to consider myself part of the younger folk and for a first time having an event at this venue I think they did an decent job.
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank TwentyninePark for the free bbq and the friendly staff. Personally I think they had the nicest staff out of all the venues I've ever used.
Additionally, I would like to thank all of you that came out and helped make the party what it was. I truly enjoyed talking to many of you and was pleasantly surprised at how friendly and nice people were.
A special thanks goes out to B. & D. for getting me home safely. For that I thank you.
I will do my best to upload pics over the weekend. To those of you that took pics, please email me so we can share them with everyone.

Posted: 6/21/2008 4:18:11 AM | WOW... wasnt that a party. I managed to stagger home (yup I walked home!!) and somehow that helped with the hangover.
Beautiful place .... great and friendly staff and most importantly of all.... A WONDERFUL HOST - and kinda cute too.
Oh yeah and the rest of the people were a hoot too!!!
Only one thing left to say...
When's the next one!! 
(Okay maybe we recover from this one first.)

Damnnn...haven't danced like that in forever! It was nice that it wasn't totally crazy packed so that people could move around and stuff.

I cant even move right now I'm sooo sore.

I had a great time, and am so glad I decided to go after all, sore leg and all.
Thanks to agapantha for a place to spend the night, to our DD for volunteering to tour us all there and back, and the rest of the gang that filled the van and made the drive a blast. (if any of you gals want a copy of the pics I took of you - just email me, ok?)
Also a thanks to the men we met as well, that proved that gentlemen really do still exist

I have a little pickle and I don't know what to do about it, so after getting advice from a moderator, we decided it was best I be open about it. (basically it was either the mod or myself that was gonna post this and I perfered you hear it from me).
Its been brought to my attention that there was a user at my event, a gentleman, that was approaching everyone, mainly the ladies, and making several outlandish claims one of them that he was the "official events photographer".
Just to be clear, my events never have an "official event photographer". Additionally the only people ever associated with hosting the events are the ones listed prior, on the events listing. We do not have mystery surprise hosts. I always take photos at my own events (and ask permission when I do so) and anyone else taking pics is merely just a member taking pics. They are not doing it on my behalf nor are they hired by POF or anyone else. Please do not hestitate to tell someone to get lost, if they are trying to make such claims. In the future, if you hear anyone making similar claims, please notify me immediately so I can deal with the situation pronto. Frankly I'm horrified and also embarrassed that this individual did this under the guise they were working for me. To anyone he offended, I'm truly sorry. He will no longer be admitted to any of my future events due to their actions. In the meantime if anyone has anymore information on this matter, please contact me immediately.
Once again, I apologize to anyone he may had offended. Please know whatever he did, he did on his own, without any knowledge or consent from myself or my cohost. | |

Posted: 6/27/2008 9:03:20 PM | miss allison....it looks like you all had a great time...kudos to all of you. i also seen that hk didn't leave her dark sunglasses at home or in the car...she loves to be mysterious i guess. now if hk and some of her crazy canuck friends jump stateside to show some of these people how to party that would be cool...there's not many events in my area, they're all 4+ hours away.
oh, miss allison, did you think that the person saying that he was the official event photographer could have been a regular at the club and taking publicity pics as well for the club to post? it's just a thought...i don't know who he is or what he was telling the ladies but some places like that here in the states would do things like that...especially if they're a memeber of the single's site that's hosting the event and he's also a regular at the establishment.
anyway....as i said.....kudos to all of you for having a terrific time and thank you for sharing the pics for this stateside country girl (aka ponygrl) to see. | |

LOL - you'd almost wonder wouldnt you. I'm starting to think the men are designated holder uppers of the walls. That being said, nothing wrong with asking a man to dance, and its much better than just sitting back and waiting for it to happen.

I don't need to think about it, I know who it was. It was a member that was excessively drunk and overstepping their bounds. Nothing to do with the club or me. Once again I feel terrible especially after hearing some of the things this individual has done. Completely barred from all my future events. | |
