He was the most logical and realistic comedian I knew of George Carlin, Rest In Peace..

| George Carlin Passes away at 71.. Posted: 6/22/2008 11:11:38 PM | Damn it.
I have so many of his tapes, but never got to see him live. You always think there will be time. He’s one of the few men I can quote extensively; I spent so many hours laughing listening to those tapes...
He made you laugh, but he also made you think.

| George Carlin Passes away at 71.. Posted: 6/22/2008 11:12:56 PM | | Wow...I'm shocked. I mean, it's not like you don't know it could happen, but he's been a part of the scenery for a very long time. It will be strange not to hear his new pithy thoughts every year. We have lost a good one, slysterling. | |

| George Carlin Passes away at 71.. Posted: 6/22/2008 11:22:05 PM | Man...and here I was having a good night.
He's been on the other side for a little over 5 hrs now. I hope he's had time to find a nice soft chair, roll one up and get nicely toasted.
You will be missed, man.

| George Carlin Passes away at 71.. Posted: 6/22/2008 11:29:29 PM | Bloody Hell!
The Very Best Ever. The Undisputed Master of the Art Form of Stand-Up. Always Brilliant, Hysterical, Thought-Provoking, Provocative, Fresh, and Relevant. ....for over FIFTY YEARS!
How many artists of ANY kind can you say that about?
My all time favorite from my teens (in the 70's) when my mom first hipped me to him. I have so many great memories of listening to the Little David Vinyl LPs (like Class Clown and AM/FM) with my mom (who got to see him live in Vegas in the 90's).
George is STILL my favorite today, probably forever.
God Bless You George. Thanks for sharing all those 'Brain Droppings' (his term).
I hope you're wrong about the nonexistance of Heaven...because you've sure earned a good spot for all the thought-provoking belly laughs.

| George Carlin Passes away at 71.. Posted: 6/22/2008 11:42:51 PM | Very disheartening news... I figured the guy could live forever somehow. He was always so full of energy and the right stuff when it came to humor. I've got to get a few more of his skits on CD before I'll never be able to find them again. I wish him luck in passing, he was a great guy. A lot of people are going to miss him, I certainly will. --Brandon | |

| George Carlin Passes away at 71.. Posted: 6/22/2008 11:50:04 PM | Damn, this some sad news!!! He will be missed! I find myself wanting to say 'God bless George Carlin', but would he want me to say that, if he was a non-believer? I'm not particularly religious either. I just want to wish him my best. He gave me so many laughs, the least I can do is express my sadness at his passing. May you rest in peace, George. | |

| George Carlin Passes away at 71....... Mr Rufus will be missed Posted: 6/23/2008 12:15:04 AM | The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension
Bill and Ted and the Gang says Rest in Peace ::::::::: ALL HAIL MR RUFUS::::::::: Rest in Peace!
Rufus: Hi. Welcome to the future. San Dimas, California, 2688. And I'm telling you, it's great here. The air is clean. The water's clean. Even the dirt... is clean. Bowling averages are way up. Mini-golf scores are way down. And we have more excellent water slides than any other planet we communicate with. I'm telling you, this place is great. But it almost wasn't. You see, 700 years ago the Two Great Ones ran into a few problems. So now I have to travel back in time to help them out. If I should fail to keep these two on the correct path, the basis of our society will be in danger. Don't worry. It'll all make sense. I'm a professional.
Rufus: And very important, *do not* do your homework without wearing headphones. Repeat...
Maybe Mr Rufus is in the year 2688 enjoying himself....
MR Rufus will dearly be missed out Snake

| George Carlin passes away at 71.. Posted: 6/23/2008 2:02:19 AM | "Watching golf on TV is like watching flies F**K." My favorite GC line. Rest in peace George. Like Slash of Guns -N- Roses said in April 1990 when Sam Kinison died, "If God didn't have a sense of humor before, He does now." | |

| George Carlin passes away at 71.. Posted: 6/23/2008 3:46:16 AM | My introduction to Carlin, when I was a boy, was hearing an album my brother brought home: "Class Clown." I've been a fan ever since. Carlin has been a strong influence on me, guiding and shaping my thinking. Funny or serious, he always pushed us to think freely and independently, to trust no authority - including him.
Carlin was one of the funniest people who ever lived, and one of the most thought-provoking. More than all the jokes, this is the Carlin line I'll always remember best: "If your kid needs a role model, and you ain't it, you're both fvcked."

| George Carlin Passes away at 71.. Posted: 6/23/2008 5:32:15 AM | | Rest in Peace George, few people can say that they left a legacy of laughter to the world as you have. When all is said and done.. can any life have been better lived than the life that brought so much pleasure and laughter to millions? You are one of those who can say that the life they lived contributed to the betterment of mankind. | |

| George Carlin Passes away at 71.. Posted: 6/23/2008 7:28:31 AM | [quoate] Very sad to hear this new's this morning , he's in a better place ~ Rest In Peace
Really wish that were actually the case. But George wouldn't have thought so.
And it makes the loss so much greater.
It would be so much more fun to think he's up there making God ROFLHAO.
