| Summer concerts, festivals, or other interesting events you want to share... Posted: 6/24/2008 4:45:25 AM | I figured I would make a thread where people can share and concerts, festivals and the such with the rest of the POF community. Maybe you don't want to go alone, or just looking to share in the fun. In either case... lets post them in here.
Just so that people in freddy know...there are bands playing at Officers square (Tues & Thurs evenings) and at the ampitheatre on Main street (Weds evenings). There are also movies shown at Officers square on Sunday evenings at dusk. I will try to keep things posted in here for those who may want to go. If I plan on attending something.. I will post it in here as well in case someone is looking for someone to go with.
June 24th - Bottoms up (Rain or shine) Celtic/ Traditional. June 25th - 5 O'clock Somewhere Classic Rock
I do know that a few of us plan to attend the June 24th performance by Bottoms Up. They are a great band to see. I would like to go to the Weds night show since they are an awesome band as well, but I will be working late.

| Summer concerts, festivals, or other interesting events you want to share... Posted: 6/24/2008 7:05:42 AM | Great idea nb_native! In Woodstock, we have Old Home Week starting the first week of August I believe, and that's a pretty good time for sure. It's a fair/livestock show, and there's a parade to start it off. Live music too, not sure who's playing this year yet. I was also wondering if anyone would be interested in going to Ministers Island with me? I've really wanted to check it out for a while, but don't drive, and no one around here wants to go. Has anyone ever been there? | |

| Summer concerts, festivals, or other interesting events you want to share... Posted: 8/14/2008 6:14:52 AM | I just read your message & I don't know if you've made it to Ministers Island yet but I hear it's very interesting. I have family living in St Andrews & my parnets stopped at Ministers Island once & said it was very interesting.
However I believe they said something about the road is only accessible at low tide so you should check when you can cross before you go. I have a great house & salt water pool even the barn is unique. All the windows are 6 or 8 ft above the ground so the workers would not be looking at the scenery instead of working.
It has a lot of intersting features. I keep meaning to visit it myself but haven't found the time yet.
Good Luck
