Posted: 6/24/2008 7:15:48 AM | With the addition of the letter i, your name magically becomes Violator- and chicks sure dig that. Change it. The vaguely creepy pictures are doing you no favour either, I suggest changing them too.
Profile says very little and revolves around vast lists of music and movies. You are neither the music you listen to nor the movies you watch. The section is clearly titled 'about me', not 'lists of stuff'. You produces none of that music or movies, they are not about you at all.
Swearing in your profile is not a positive. Abbreviations are not a positive. Talking about previous relationships is most certainly not a positive. Nearly every sentence has a negative in it- that is not real positive either.
You have approached it in completely the wrong way. Throw it out and start again. Read the tips thread and look at some successful profiles first. Yours is not redeemable in its current form. | |

I'm not going to spend much time on this one OP but I've got to beat down a generalization. Americans think we are all beer drinking hockey jocks because we allow them to think that way! They aren't all Nascar or football fans, and certainly not all of them are inbred, ignorant, intolerable, racist, or stupid either; they just like making us believe it time and time again! LOL I happen to be at least one more Canadian man who can't ski to save his life and would rather watch the Discovery Channel or a movie than Hockey Night in Canada. I DO wear a toque almost non-stop in the winter, but I don't say "aboot", nor do I live in an igloo and I DEFINITELY don't have trouble parking my dog sled!
Try again on this sucker, as the one you've got now needs a set of cement shoes to justify it's inaction. | |

Guys and gals who havent been for profile reviews, typically write profiles that appeal to themselves more that the opposite sex. This is bad for them but good for us, means if we want to know what kind of text appeals to females, all we have to do is read some of their profiles. I'm generally referring to the ones which are longer than a 3ish lines. | |

Don't lump an entire country into one sentence
I'm probably the only Canadian that isn't really a hockey fan or a skier.
I am another Canadian who can't ski!! Go figure.... guess you aren't the only one..
Also on that same sentence... I don't know how many times on profiles I have seen a sentence that begins with " I'm probably the only one...." ditch it, you are far from the only one!!
Full length pictures would help your plight as well... and of course more then two pictures !! | |

I'm back on here. Went off for a bit thought I'd try again.
Also your first date section where you play pool makes you sound a bit too laddie. I just get the image of one of those men that go out and get wrecked most nights with the lads to come home slobbering over your sober missus. I am probably looking too far into it lol, though a more appealing first date speal would be better me thinks.
You could do with more pics, the second one is good though the first pic looks like you are about to sniff dirty knickers and that is the pic everyone will see first when people click on your profile or when they do a normal search.

You need to make your profile unique and creative and try to stand out among the sea of all the other men competing for the same thing.
Your profile is just I do this...I do that....I want this...I want that....
Have you read the profiles of some of the frequent male reviewers here? You will see the difference.

This is an extension of MizQ's comments above as to not get redundant on your bottom.
What I've done is taken the liberty of going through your About Me and showing you everythign that should not or doesn't need to be there. The parts bolded should be deleted and the italicized parts are questionable at best and I think if it were me I'd lose them. The untouched parts are those that can be salvaged I suppose.
A little about me.
The philosophy I live by is stay relaxed, stay mellow, and be open to whatever happens.
I've done a lot of things in my life, good, bad, smart, and really frikin' stupid and don't regret any of it.
If it wasn't for the things we've all done in our lives, we wouldn't be who we are today.
When I go out, usually some friends and we hang out together and laugh for a few hours. Not really into the nightclub thing anymore.
I get along best with people who just want to keep things light and have a good time. Mind you it is funny watching a drunk friend hang from a light pole.
I'm on here looking to expand my circle of friends, and maybe find the unachievable "one" that everyone is looking for. Don't really expect to find her on here, but ya never know.
I would love to meet someone with a brain, that would be so great. I'd love to have a intelligent conversation.

Now of course, I can see it's "volator," which is an improvement but only just.
The info you say is "about you" is really only about what you WANT and not about who you are as a person at all. | |

OP, do yourself a solid and forget the profile tips threads. I'm giving you some homework for the weekend: I want you to go and check out about two dozen profiles of the regular reviewers in these threads. At least a dozen. Go through a number of threads and look at people you see posting threads frequently or those that seem to know what they are talking about. Maybe then you'll get the hint. We've tried to spell this one out to you in plain English but it appears it is being translated into Hebrew along the way. After a few revisions, the profile still sucks there, laddie. | |

Posted: 7/30/2008 11:38:16 AM | No offense op, but your profile just sounds like a long message of you trying to explain yourself to profile reviewers. Not that you are but it comes across that way.
In basic format on a profile, all you need to do is sound friendly, have good pics and send thoughtful messages to people.
With you i would say, start with the very basics and work your way up if you have to. Just sound positive, be nice and you will look better in other pictures I am sure of it.
Even with the current profile you have, it would work better for you if you had pictures of you looking friendly. i would SOOOO... do you if you had better pictures. just kidding lol i'm not gay but upto you amigo on what you decide.
