It was mentioned by someone that people from different professions should have different meet nights!!!
What is the world coming too?! Surely it doesnt matter what walk of life people are from. I dont discriminate anyone ....

However, there are so many things that 'get on my wick' from 'txt tlk' to annoying little chavvy boy racers in their chavved up cars. MP's voting themselves huge pay rises coupled with huge expense accounts whilst urging those on a minimum wage to show restraint when asking for a 1% rise. The Daily Mail and it's readership. Bigots and small minded 'phobes'.

Just how bloody expensive everything is getting
Waiting about to find out if I have an interview for a job that I really really really want, and they still haven't finished processing the applications.

I have no idea why anybody would think it's best for people of different proffessions to have different meet nights - I mean nobody goes out to socialise and ends up talking about work ..do they ?
If a person is solely defined by their job that would be a little sad.
What irks me most is people being in denial and the lengths they go to to preserve their odd unstable delicate and spurious image of themself (that's not directed at you GOW..it's a thing I feel dissappointed about in many people) | |

I couldn't bare spending a whole night with a room full of bloody accountants!!!
*cough*...oh..the subject..er..my apologies..
When people walking together have to take up the whole pavement.
Drivers who don't indicate yet you are in trouble for walking accross the road because they want to drive down it.
Women..yeah..but it is women..who don't understand the concept of having their purse out and ready when they are at the til...and if they have 30 odd money off coupons...well...grrr!

Immigration,gets on my nerves,before you jump down my throat I have nothing against any foreigners who want to work to better their lives,it's just that this countries full,sorry.

The thing that annoys me more than anything else in the whole wide world is the British General public. We moan on and on about how everything our government does is such an injustice and nobody, and I mean nobody, has the guts to actually stand up and do anything about it. We all talk a great fight in the doctors waiting room, or in the pub, or in the supermarket. But when it comes time for action..... nothing! | |

Old people who have no concept of the fact there are other people using pavements/aisles/anywhere else people walk and just stop dead and turn into you, giving you a disgusted "youth of today" look when they inevitably bump into you!
Little kids being allowed to run amock in shopping centres tripping everyone within 30 metres of their parents!
As for the bloke who said he wants different meets for different professions.... I saw the post, thought "you snobby tw@t" and forgot about it. What else does he want? Pubs exclusively for people in his salary bracket? People on low wages banned from peak time travel? | |

It was quite unfortunates that my first party I attended on the 21 in london did not meet my expectation. I was very, very disappointed…anywhere, I was well received by the organizers. I tried talking to a few people who had nothing in common to discuss professionally or socially with me... I think; that standard here was the problem…I will suggest that next parties should be categorized. E.g.: a party from professionals with at least a degree, a party for none professionals, a party for young adults, and a mix night…so that people know the level of people whom they want to meet… Surely, in this way people will be able to meet the right friends they want…

Hey, not everyone sits on their backside. I've got a lovely pile of letters from my MP, managing directors etc. Sure, nine times out of ten I don't get anywhere but that tenth time makes it all worthwhile when a law gets changed or a business alters their practices.
What amazes me the most is the people that have a go at you for trying to make a difference when they themselves had been complaining about the same issue *grrrr*

Women who think that male single parents are an alien species or at least decidedly suspect for some reason.
Having a Prime Minister gifted the job without the courage to test his right via the electorate.
Fuel costs going through the roof (I sold my car back in Jan) and every manufacturer jumping on this as manna from heaven and banging prices right up.
Kids coming back in body bags from our oil crusades.
Decline in moral standards that I encounter everyday.
People who say "urrrrrgggghhhhhhhh" when it comes up in conversation that I do put tomato sauce on my ketchup.
Lesbians who fail to see that they are partaking in what is essentially a spectator sport.
Men that wear socks and sandals.
Drive through fast food places where it is quicker to get out of the car and go in to order food (happened yesterday).
People who keep ranting like this. I could go on, but I will stop for now. Oh and those clipboard wielding git's "had an accident in the last few years?" clogging up shopping centres, one day I may trip over one and injure myself! | |

Well done you! I take my hat off to you for actually doing something. I gave up trying as everybody backed me up when I spoke about it, but when the time came to actually do anything they disappeared with excuses of washing their socks, or brushing the cat, varnishing the garden path, etc.
The fuel crisis is the latest one. I'm sure we've all seen the emails about lets not buy from one company. So someone might say Shell. Then people, who complain about the price, are too lazy to drive to another garage just around the corner.
If Shell sold NO fuel from their forecourts for 2 weeks you would soon see the price drop at their garages or they would go out of business. Then you move onto the next one, like say BP. | |

People that use the drive thru for "special orders". If it's not a menu item, then get out and order inside.
I go to the window and order a number 1. That is it.
Not "3 cheeseburgers, one with extra mayo, one without tomato, and one without onion, extra pickles. 2 apple pies, one blueberry, 1 coke, 1 large coke, 1 small 7up. You got any happy meals with XXX action figure in it? Can I also get 2 fries, and one small salad with diet ranch?"
People that talk on their cell phone at the cash register. You are wasting MY time.
Pay for your crap and leave.
People that are sitting next to asking me to give up my seat on a crowded subway/bus to someone else standing. First of all, why don't you get your a$$ up and second, why do you assume I'm healthy enough to stand on a crowded subway/bus. This happen to me when I had pnumonia and I was on my way to the hospital. Which bring me to oveall why do strangers feel the need to chastise other folk just minding their own business. I'm sitting on public transport minding my own business. Leave me the hell alone! I just want to get from point A to point B just like everyone else. This is not a social experience.
Help desk that have English as a second language. I called to get my credit card activated and I could not understand a word the person on the other line was saying.
And to top it off, she was trying to sell me "additional security coverage" and I had to ask her several time what the heck was she saying throughout the sell pitch.
Drivers that just move into your lane then signal after they start moving over. Just because you want to lane change does not entitle you to a lane change.
If there are no cars behind me, wait until I pass. If it is heavy traffic behind me I might let you over, but only if I indicate you can come over. | |

I had 2 lines in my last house, and when I moved last July I stopped one and had the other number transferred to my new address. However BT have continued to send me bills for the number I stopped, a number which does not work, saying that although they disconnected the number they have kept the account going as they did not receive an order to stop the account, only the number. When I ring up to complain I get someone in downtown Calcutta, who through no fault of their own but due to BT's endevours to line the pockets of their robbing shareholders, they haven't a clue why I am still being charged for a number that is not in use. They suggest I just pay the bill.
And then when I try to get through to someone all I get is "BT are very busy just now, please try later".
I do remember once when I got that message it said please phone at quieter times after 8pm. So I did, to be met with the message "These lines are now closed, we are open from 8am to 8pm". | |
