| what are the worst cities you've driven in? Posted: 6/25/2008 6:13:20 PM | | For me, Oklahoma city was a bad one, I got lost several times. Atlanta morning rush hour is a bummer too. Driving a semi truck in New Orleans over the Huey P. Long bridge was not fun. It's very narrow. I've also noticed that it's best to drive through cities late at night. After midnight to avoid alot of traffic. | |

I absolutely love the culture in the city and all it has to offer, but getting around when you are unfamilliar with it is more than a challenge.... and that is for someone who is an excellent navigator!

| what are the worst cities you've driven in? Posted: 6/27/2008 8:45:02 AM | Tough decision.... Either Dallas or Atlanta...!! Dallas drivers like to pack 6 cars in a 100 yard stretch....and do _80_ mph..!!! Atlantans have No Common sense...At ALL..!! They'll drive 10 mph over the speed limit... In a Pounding rain-storm... in their Silver/metallic blue/grey cars . . _Without their LIGHTS ON_...!!!! ...then _Wonder_ Why they get in Accidents...!!! ...D ' U-u-u-u-u-h-h-hhh...!!!... If you can't be SEEN....You Can't be _AVOIDED_...!!! | |

Is nothing compared to Chicago, and north 95 though new york is hell's handbasket tipped over, had another driver fold back my right side mirror on the George Washington bridge once, and I still think Chicago is the worst because when I ramp backs up people will go past the backup, then stop in the next lane over and wait for someone to let them in.

| what are the worst cities you've driven in? Posted: 6/27/2008 8:18:15 PM | | Dubai....the traffic is an absolute nightmare. It is maybe not the worst traffic I've ever seen...I'm thinking Mexico City or Cairo...but it is the worst that I have ever driven in myself . I was a nervous wreck with the rental car...nobody respects your space...everybody is trying to sqeeze you off the road. | |

I think I would like to drive in some of the European cities. I like how they dang near play bumper cars in their compacts and how the motorcycles and scooters just drive down the lines. If that was done in the US you would see everyone shooting each other, but there is seems kinda cool. Also cool how almost every car is a stick.

| what are the worst cities you've driven in? Posted: 6/30/2008 8:25:41 AM | | I've driven in DC, Chicago, Southern and Northern California. DC is by far the worst, in terms of traffic, detours, streets running counterintuitively, rudeness, accidents, and injuries. Not to sound racist, but there are a lot of hispanics that cannot read English and don't follow lane change signs during rush hours. Every six months, a car with diplomatic plates will perform a kamakazi manuver, and they are immune from prosecution; you, however, are not. I-95 south of DC has gotten so congested, I drive surface roads from home to DC, about 25 miles or so. Its faster at 35 to 40 mph than the highway most of the time. . . . | |

| what are the worst cities you've driven in? Posted: 6/30/2008 1:24:54 PM | Hard to choose. My special hell was being on I-95 north DC around 3pm trying to get to Baltimore. But, I've had some serious issues with Chicago I-94/I-90 southbound.
In Europe, never, ever get on the M-25 London Orbit during morning rush-hour (7-9 Am)

| what are the worst cities you've driven in? Posted: 6/30/2008 4:00:15 PM | | Montreal, the drivers are not the problem so much as the confusing streets. Would not be too big a deal other than you spend 80% of your time dodging potholes when you should be navigating. Definitely need a co-pilot | |

| what are the worst cities you've driven in? Posted: 6/30/2008 11:34:43 PM | Washington DC...and I do it almost every day. The DC Metro area is a perenial top (or bottom) two city in terms of Worst Traffic in the Country. We're usually tied with Los Angeles, and having been there several times as well...the traffic in both of them sucks. All it takes is one accident on the Beltway and everything stops all the way around. | |

| what are the worst cities you've driven in? Posted: 6/30/2008 11:47:41 PM | San Juan, PR and Syracuse, NY are both bar none the worst places I've ever driven.
San Juan, basically the way they drive is if something's not in front of you, it's none of your concern. Driving down there is total chaos and a deathwish to those who aren't paying attention.
Syracuse, everyone's just in a rush for some reason or another, and really the whole city is a dump including a lot of people's personalities. A lot of people there are just incredibly rude.

As for the motorways in and out of London............don't even get me started!!
