so i noticed looking through all of the topics on here. they are all pretty much news, politics and opinions on decisions with the city and such. That might be the answer to this question but. how come no one my age posts in these forums its all 30+ pretty much

Pretty hard to get a reply why people are not here from people who are not here. We used to have topics like about Pinky Dinky Doo's and such but the powers that be do not find them conductive to any serious thought.

edit: now how can you troll for attention when there is nothing to troll for? A bunch of us old farts seeing a young one lost in a sea of apathy.

Most likely because... only a few in the under 30 group have a broader view of life, or they're out partying or working their butts off ... who knows ...+ with age ~ some get wisdom & some don't ~ altho they wanna think they do
nice to see you in here though, come back some time, as at times ~ there are some very funny things being said by some very intelligent people. Can't forget about the wealth of opinions & experiences of other people, completely invaluable.
Listen & learn....you''d be amazed at the knowledge you can attain.

My one 20ish coworker who was on POF was never into the forums, didn't like to read, had no idea or cared about who was running the city/province/country. Eventualy he left because the POF women in his age range were either too fat, uptight, into reading, able to converse and didn't want to spend the weekends getting plastered.

Maybe because they have better things to do and are a lot more marketable than us older cerebral types?

Cheers!

We're around but the forums have been fairly stagnent lately so there's not a lot of posting done by either the youngins or the more chronologically mature.

Cerebral 23 - not to say that you can't start a thread or two yourself.

Maybe it will draw in some of the youngins - who are perhaps trolling and too shy to post or just find the topics of late which are pretty boring - well .... boring as do most of us. Anything slightly fun we try to post are quickly deleted. Therefore, we have lost many of the "good times" we used to have here and the good folks as a result.

So go ahead - post away!

And welcome Cerebral - nice to see some young blood mixed in with us seasoned folks ... lol.

tall blue eyedfun: I feel young, til I go to the bar...then not so much!

young at the bar, you must be talking about Scandals.... lmao... isn't the age of majority there 16?

PP: ...trolling...

I know the site is called POF, but trolling? isn't that a bit much with the fishing analogies?

and I think Dudley and a few others have it right, young people are too busy elsewhere to be spending time posting on 'some silly dating site forums'

b slimm - believe it or not - I can't take credit for that analogy.

It's an actual reference word used on this site by the POF mods as well as folks here. Check out the POF rules and you'll find it there.

By the way, "young people are too busy to be posting on some silly dating site"?????

but apparently not too busy to be reading them ..... lol ... aka trolling.

Welcome to the forums. Hope to see more of your posts and input.

From the wikipedia: An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who posts controversial and usually irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum or chat room, with the intention of (giggled when I read this part) baiting other users into an emotional response or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion.

^^^ no problem cerebral 23 - we managed to hold down the fort while you were gone. .

Welcome back! Hope your trip was awesome. Perhaps your posts and thread(s) will encourage more "youngens" to post.

Hey, to the cerebral folk abundantly posting... is it not from you that us youngens learn?

I really do like reading this stuff and there's a lot wisdom and wit to be had from you all. I post from time to time, but I prefer to read, and sometimes, I feel some connection with people, like, wow, even though their single, it makes complete sense to me.
