Posted: 7/1/2008 11:18:13 AM | Well, today is free agency day.... I'm a huge Sens and Oilers fan and I'm watching this thing like a hawk... Yesterday (prior to F.A. Day), the oilers got rid of 2 key guys... Today they lost Pitkanen... (picked up cole but come on..)
The Sens have 16 players on FA Listing... Anyone care to vent with me or talk about other teams in the league? | |

my team traded a overpaid player in effect getting a younger, faster player that fits the system more. waived 3 players that need to go, and has the core signed all at discount prices. no need to vent here.

I thought we might get Finger or Sauer from the Avs and cujo. Finger still has tons of upside and he better for the size of the contract they just handed him. See if Cliff bags us a forward now like Ryder or Williams.

Feaster must be running on bennies with all the signings he's done this weekend.
It was rumored tampa was going after Ryder but now that they've grabbed Vrbata they'll maybe lay low. I don't know how much cash they have left to spend but they've got Kolzig, Prospal, Vrbata, Roberts and Malone to go along with the huge contract they just gave Vinny as well as last weeks drafting of top prospect Stamkos and picking up a flyer d Niskannenin a trade..

They had no intention of resigning either of them so no great loss for Murray.
Campbell gets the big bucks to play for the Hawks along with Huet. Theodore gets 9 mill for two seasons in Washington. Man, when you think back on how Jose played in that series against detroit you have to kind of wonder about the price tag. Huet nabbed himself 4 years at 22 and a half.
Rangers made a nice signing bagging Ristmiller from San Jose. Rolston goes back to the Meadowlands in jersey where it all began for him.
