Posted: 7/1/2008 8:23:28 PM | We all have those little quirks about ourselves that we don't often share because friends will certainly think we're off our rocker, never mind a potential partner.
Had a discussion the other nite with some folks on the little weird things we do and wonder if the significant other will find it endearing or a royal pain in the ass.
I know I have a few myself. How about you? Do you have a few strange things you do and wonder if a new partner will appreciate or, that they'd stand back and wait for your head to start spinning on your shoulders?
Or, have you had a partner who had a strange tick of some sort which was too weird, even for you ...lol?
Care to share? Keep in mind, your potential future partner could very well be reading this and may just find in endearing or, never answer your emails again .... lol

Posted: 7/1/2008 8:35:33 PM | I know it drives my dad nuts but I live my life by lists. I have a horrible memory and an insane need for organization so lists seem to satisfy both those needs. There are constantly post-its all over my room with lists of things to do, things to buy, things coming up etc. I am incredibly organized and routine oriented. I have my morning routine timed to the minute and if I'm even one minute off it irks me.
I am also a huge fan of the afternoon nap. I get a lot of flack for that one being 25 and wanting to take naps but I figure if I'm not busy doing anything else, why not recharge the batteries a bit.
It's not a strange tic or anything but my last boyfriend was one of those people who hits the snooze button 5 times before getting out of bed in the morning. He also always had to have his radio blaring on power 97. I like the music but not at full blast at 5 am. I'm one of those annoying ones that when the alarm goes off I'm up, I'm moving and I can't get back to sleep. I almost took a hammer to his clock quite a few times... especially on days where he had to be up at 5 am and I didn't until 8. Drove me NUTS!

I'm one of those alarm blaring people too. I'm sure the neighbours can hear it two doors down - no wonder my kids have had that deer in the headlite look all their lives .......
And yet when my kids were babies, I could hear them blink in the nite but need the alram full blast to wake me up? Gawd we are a strange lot ......

This may loose me some pet crazy women, but I had a girl friend who would let her dogs deep throat her with their tongues. I can understand the dog slipping you the tongue on occasion - but all the time? That grossed me out. | |

Well for me that's easy to answer - I have 2 things that do drive some people really crazy.
1. I leave toast crumbs in the butter. I have never been able to take the right amount from the butter dish when I am buttering toast. I either dont take enough and need to stick my crumby knife back in, or I take too much and put the residue back in the dish as I am not one to waste. So, I have given up trying. Love me - love my crumbs.
2. I am almost anal about a clean and tidy house. I am the one who has an organized junk drawer and some people make fun of me. Although, I have been told that my "French Maid" outfit is kind of interesting.

And to think this came from a stick of butter being used too many time. It kind of remminds me of a time at a pool party, while bbq'n and someone dropped a jug of canloa on the floor in the kitchen, but I will skip the hungry details | |
