I really can't tell you why...but yes...sometimes....seeing a man in ugly, out-dated, worn out, dirty, color faded, or ripped apart shoes is a bit of a turn off. If you can't wear decent shoes/clothes out to meet a woman on a first date...it kinda shows you just don't care and can't be bothered....so why should we? | |

No but if she finds him unattractive she will look down to avoid eye contact thus hopefully avoiding having to converse with him.

Posted: 7/4/2008 7:15:08 AM | Yes they do. When you see a lady looking at you hold her gaze, you'll notice a lot of the time she'll scan you up and down with her eyes then back up to your eyes. This all happens in a split second. It happened to me yesterday when I had my crappy old trainers on that have holes in which I wear when I'm cycling (no brakes so use feet!). I doubt she was impressed haha!
It was also raining and I got wet feet. | |

Fugue, Its not all about how attractive a guy is on the outside its about how attractive he is in the inside, lots of attractive guys are not so nice in the inside when you get to know them. I only have ever met 2 that had both qualities!
I defo wouldnt date a guy who wore white socks with dressy shoes or sandals!!!!

I am not a shoe fanatic. I could care less about shoes (although the one person who mentioned white sport socks with sandals has a point!)....
I look at hands. And not to look for a ring either - - tho I have no interest in married men. I am just grossed out by feminine looking hands or chewed up finger nails (or long finger nails) on men. | |

No, shoes don't "kill the deal", however nice shoes show that a guy cares about his appearance and help make for a good first impression. | |
