The Luckiest Guy on Earth...

Okay, I was just in the drugstore, looking through the magazines.
I saw a copy of GQ magazine with Gisele Bundchen on the cover.
Beside her picture it said something along the lines of "Tom Brady is the luckiest man on earth".
For those that don't know, Gisele is a "supermodel" and Tom Brady plays for the New England Patriots...anyway...

I got thinking: is that what makes a guy the luckiest guy on earth? JUST dating a hot woman? Okay, the fact that he probably makes a lot of money in pro football doesn't hurt, and I'm sure she isn't hurtin' for moola, but they were pretty obviously focusing on his girlfriend's looks.

Don't get me wrong, if I looked like her and she had a feather up her ass, we'd both be tickled, but I find it so funny that others consider him TLGOE JUST because of how his girlfriend looks.
For all anybody knows, she's a horrible witch.
For all anybody knows, she cheats on him. Hell, maybe she smacks him around...we don't know. (Okay, that last one might be a long shot, but you get my point).

I just find this odd.
I know there are many men who would give their left testicle to date a model, but would you think that would necessarily make you extra lucky? (Of course, now that you'd be missing a testicle, maybe lucky isn't the word...).

So, the question: would you (men) sacrifice being with a woman who might not be a good person, or might have other horrendous qualities just because she looks hot? I know there are a lot of men that would take about .000000001 seconds to say "hell, yeah!"
But the fact is, wouldn't you always be concerned that many, many, many other men want her? Would you always be concerned about losing her?

I know, I know, models need love, too.

For the ladies, let's use Brad Pitt as an example, would you do anything to date a guy like him, even if he treated you like crap, or cheated, etc?

Of course, as I think of these questions, I know that many people will date based on looks, but I just felt like asking...

When they say love is blind they aren't kidding. I'm thinking not all guys go for the super model type

This couple came in the store where I work and she was teasing him about turning 40. She says, He doesn't look 40, does he? Well, to me 40 is young so, yes he did look his age. He was a nice looking guy - not hot but okay. She was a good 300 lbs with a five o'clock shadow. I guess he fell in love with her inner beauty

Believe it or not, attractive women seem to have nicer personalities than ugly heffers. I know the stereotype of the gorgeous, snooty woman who is a b***h, and women like that do get guys. Those guys are smart enough not to say anything and just enjoy "the ride," which is about all those women are to men.

Basically, cute girls tend to be very nice. Fat, ugly women (and men) tend to be negative and sarcastic, no matter how well you treat them. Obviously, I'd rather have an average looking woman with a great, lively personality, but who wants to risk getting someone who's ugly who turns out also to be very negative? Who wants to risk giving up something very attractive who might also be a great person inside?

I have not work with any famous super model but the models I have known are like everybody else (omg a shock i know :P)

Some are super nice, some are very cruel and arrogent. Some are very intelligent, some are not. One 22 year old in mind was suprise there is a country called South Africa, when I told her. Some are spoiled, some are humble. In the end, there are good and bad, just like any other job or group.

im sure inside the magazine there would have been a pretty lengthy story on how this guy (Who ive never heard of) is the LGOE because hes doing something he loves to do as a job and it was probably his life dream to achieve to be where he is now and doing so landed him a model "Trophy" wife, who, in the article, will probably be a saint and his perfect match...

titles on mags and newspapers are always a little blown out of proportion as to what the actual story is about when it comes to celebs and thier lives.

Wow aren't you just a sweetie. Well coming from an ugly heffer I can honestly say I am neither negative , sarcastic or generally a btch. I treat people as well as they treat me , and if they are nasty individuals I just choose to stay away from them rather then be expose to a toxic situation.Based on your post however I don't think I would be able to say the same about you. The very fact that you felt the need to call people "ugly heffers" truly speaks volumes about you. It wouldn't hurt you to be a little more kind in life.

I've met a few models...and found them to have the attitude that they don't date anyone except "beautiful people", or those who are loaded!
Just an observation.

Maxx: Wow. Bitter?
You don't seem to be the nicest person, so I wouldn't be surprised if a "heffer" didn't treat you nicely. Something tells me "you started it".

I'm not saying that a woman who looks like GB is automatically not a nice person. Contrary to your opinion that a fat "heffer" (it's spelled "heifer", by the way) is automatically an ugly, sarcastic, negative ****.
Just wow.

Let me put something in here: I have two kids that are "all that;" my son is 13, and he is admired by his peers and his teachers-yet he's not a "suck-up;" he just is himself and people feel it and admire it.
My daughter is 11, and is a total ray of pure sunshine. She knows how to laugh -especially at herself- yet will be the one to make friends with the "new kid," or the classmate that everyone else might make fun of...yet, she doesn't fear being ostracized by the "popular" kids; maybe they know that she won't be emotionally bullied.
My parents are both relatively young and healthy, and I have a great relationship with them, as well as much of my extended family. While I have few friends, the ones I have are real...I also have the honor of being involved with coaching youth football, and helping shape the lives of the young men that I spend the Fall with.
I have a job with a good family-owned company that works with me to be free for activities outside of work that are important to me...and I love the work I do; I actually look forward to going to work every day! While I make about half of what I did six years ago, I wouldn't trade it for anything.
Finally, I am dating a wonderful woman that not only accepts me the way I am, she actually loves me for it! For the record, she's a full foot shorter than me, kind of overweight, and six years older than I am; yet her genius-level intelligence, infectious laugh, love of children and absolute fearlessness make me feel like she's the most beautiful woman I've ever met.
What the HELL am I gatting at? This: Tom Brady isn't the luckiest guy on Earth-I AM!!!

Coach Mac is finished bragging...
