Posted: 7/8/2008 10:16:43 AM | | After chatting with a man online and then through several phone calls I set up a date. We decided to meet at a public restaurant. Dinner and conversation went well both on the phone and at dinner. Upon leaving this guy told me how big of a player he was and told me he would give up his player lifestyle for me. I was floored. It got worse. He then told me he wanted a child and wanted to know if I was interested in having his baby and getting married. Let's just say I left and never talked to this guy again. It kind of scared me. I feel sometimes people are looking for an instant relationship, family, or just sex they skip out on the foundation of a good relationship. | |

How about the one that admitted to me she'd only been separated for a couple of weeks... and in fact they were still living together... on our first date? And that really hot chick who spent 45 minutes in the bathroom? I thought she ditched. After 30 minutes I asked for the cheque. Good thing the service at that restaurant was slow, else she would have had to walk home. On the other hand, she also accused me of being a playa, rudely checking out the girl sitting next to her. I hadn't even noticed anyone was AT the next table.
Dating- Online Dating specifically represents the downfall of western civilization. We've lost the ability to interact sanely. Big City Anonymity has replaced Small Town charm, and this inter-web thing has fanned the flames of abhorrent behavior.
Then again.. I've needed a fairly hard reset of my attitude lately just to exist :)

Our converstions were good across the table but outside of that all other communication ( phone and email ) was slow. The first date ended when we walked out of the resturant so I was hoping to get more time to talk after dinner on the 2nd date. As the communication trickled and then the 2nd dinner date ended the same way, I took a step back.
Its good to stand back and see if someone has intrest enough to be proactive with communication. Thats what I did and then got the feeling that I was just a " meal ticket." | |

But did have one that on the third date she decided that she wanted to be the mother of my child, move in, and get married. Then she got really really angry and started harrassing me when I told her I didn't want to see her again.

Posted: 7/13/2008 7:49:49 PM | Worst first date was a woman that claimed to have just gotten out of an abusive relationship . I met her through a friend she worked with , seemed genuine , it bought out the protective nature in me and so I agreed to meet her for a coffee . After 15 minutes this guy arrives , she tells him that I'm the guy she has been sleeping with for the last 3 months(never met her before that day) & that I'm a better lover than he is.  Before I could get my wits about me or say anything he jumped the table , started punching portholes in me and in the ensuing fight we both ended up pretty baddly knocked about . That was 5 weeks ago and thankfully I've healled up OK . It turned out she had lied to everyone about the abusive BF and wanted someone that he would get jealous over . So she asked around , my friends wife thought that being a big guy I could defend her from the "Abusive Boy Friend" if he showed up and Muggin's here was set up to take a beating . She also had a fetish about watching men fight/bleed apparently too which makes for a way weird post script I guess . | |
