Here’s the 411: Highport marina has a new temporary club called “CLUB 640” and was constructed as an outdoor venue after the 2007 flooding. It has several bars, holds around 1000, and can be a high energy late night club on occasion.

Parking 411: There is ample boat parking for all sizes from a canoe to 50 ft sport boats and cruisers! Vehicle parking is first come first serve so the earlier you arrive the closer you get to park!
Dress code 411: Club 640 has a more liberal dress code than most clubs due to the fact many of its patrons are coming in from a fun day of playing at the lake. Bikini's and flip flops are not out of the ordinary and neither is a nice evening ensemble. Just dress comfortable and use your best judgment as to how you come attired. Driving direction 411:
From Dallas Take Highway 75 (North) to Denison,TX. Take exit #69 (Highway 120) and turn left. Take Hwy. 120 approximately 5 miles into Pottsboro where highway 120 will then vear off to the right (north). Continue on Highway 120 approximately 5 miles to Highport Rd. (Mobil station) and turn left. Highport Rd. will take you into the Marina and Pompanos. Welcome to Highport Marina! I might actually get to go to this one, since its right around the corner from where I stay... and lemme tell yall.. i've been going to Highport Marina since I was 11 years old... they are currently rebuilding the entire area, but they still party hard and its always awesome there.. right on the water!!! I checked with the person I know out there at Highport,and it seems there are no COVERED picnic areas out there....I guess a fact finding mission is required.......SO......Who is up for it????.....I hate to do these things alone......
Well Mark... Hopefully I will try a Margarita this time around.. I have heard great things about your special drinks... plus at the last party up that way.. I watched as my drinking / dancing team mates.. appeared to be having a Margarita Festival... or a contest to see who could drink as many of your margarita's and still stand!!! also... Mark/TEXMEXANGEL.. Just a secret... since the salt doesn't stick to the plastic cups.. Lick your hand, right above the thumb area and pour some salt on the licked area (OH! That did not sound very nice)... anyway... Look who is writting these words... ...... Back to the process of sticking the salt... pour some salt on the licked area, GENTLY Sip your margarita and then lick the salt from your hand.. No worries... I will have hand sanitizer with me.. The dock where our boat is at has a covered walkway and we have a few small tables on the dock. There used to be an area "above" the marina on the drive in that was heavily covered by trees, had a couple tables but they washed/floated away. maybe a few chairs and a folding table could fix that...?
We could probably setup something at the dock, just need to pick a time. We are at the sailboat docks on the far end of the marina. I will probably go up Friday night, sail around saturday and could meet you guys later in the afternoon prior to going over to Tent/club later. I am crashing saturday and will come back Sunday afternoon. Another fun weekend at the lake!
