Some women choose to have their breasts augmented with implants. Some endure the surgery to boost self-esteem. Some get the implants in the belief they will be more sexually attractive. There may be other reasons.
Evidently some women do feel it is worth the risk of complications and/or losing breast sensitivity.
It is reasonable to think that for women in intimate relationships her male partner will eventually learn the truth of her artificially enhanced bosom.
Question for men: If you had (or now have) a relationship with a woman with implants, how did (or do you now) feel after making that discovery? Did you feel cheated or that you have been duped?
Question for women: How do you feel about possibly attracting a man who cares more about your bra cup size than you, the person within?

I think looks matter a lot - maybe more than they should in today's world - but there are more to looks than cup size. If a woman has a nice face and long legs, this may make up for a smaller cup size. I think if you simplify looks down to cup size you are getting it all wrong.

| Are women with breast augmentation cheating with false advertising? Posted: 7/12/2008 2:37:26 AM | I'll step forward and say that i am likely the one man her who doesn't like large breasts and really doesn't like implants.
Here's a really odd way to put it; a car could have a really big engine, but no one would want to drive that car if it had bald tires, bad shocks, peeling paint, lousy interior, and bad gas mileage.
I've noticed over the years that there are other parts to women asides from their breasts, like their names, personalties, brains, and other neat stuff too.
And for any women who think silicon/saline/Kleenex implants will attract me in droves, it will!
It will attract those men that just want a quick grab'n'go.
Besides, with all the hormones in beef and milk, womens breast have been getting larger for years. Or just have children, after nursing is over, a womans' breats will have increased by about 1 cup size, perhaps more.
But yes, implants are false advertising.
And so is a roll of Loonies in a guys pocket, as is popping the little blue pill to appear bigger all the time.

Not my situation but the thought came up so just asking. Personally, I think it is very short sighted,, even cruel, to reject someone SOLELY on that basis.

| Are women with breast augmentation cheating with false advertising? Posted: 7/12/2008 10:38:52 AM | Barring the obvious medical reasons for implants.......... It tis a vanity thing, which is ok, I doubt many women go and have augmentation for the specific reason of attracting men, probably does play somewhat of a role but mostly an age fighting tactic. I would'nt feel duped no, usually most women thats had it are pretty open about it.......like I could'nt really tell anyways.......
From what I've heard through the grape vine is..... Implants don't feel very nice, gimme a good ole pair of seasoned breasts anyday....

Posted: 7/12/2008 11:27:09 AM | OP we could analyze the WHY and possible effects on the woman and attracted man for ever and may as well include all other corrective beatifications, lifts , teeth... and call it cheating. Certainly some augmentations are less noticeable than others, most do have some loss of sensation, but even the nipples can be 'perked up' and a less frequent or observant 'visitor' may not notice. IMHO unless there are medical reasons for augmentation or restoration, the "real thing" is still the best, but any corrective measures taken would not distract my views of the real person inside. I would call false advertising pictures posted here that show a person years younger than what they are.

This coming from a 23 yr old who has never had children
ok first off MY tits are 23 years old, MINE are perfect the way they are, doesnt mean i like em saggy, nor do i want them to ever be. so please tell me why it is ooooh sooo hilarious i asked who likes saggy tits. or did you just want to read what you wanted and tried to take a stab at someone younger than you? im not trying to be mean here, i really would like to know who likes them that way? for real. the women with saggy breasts who dont feel comfortable? do they? the men? come on dont hold back now. im not saying everyone has to be perfect, im saying if someone doesnt like something about themselves they have every right in the world to change it, anything, not just their physical self, and people shouldnt be so quick to belittle those who do make changes in their life. who are you?!

Posted: 7/12/2008 2:04:33 PM | | I have never had cosmetic surgery, no need, fine in my imperfaction (as are you) and yes you are...lol, I do feel for the young ladys out there being givin a clear message about what "they should look like" so they save their money to have surgery(when not covered by medicale) just to be told they are fakes and everyone knows it......funny I do'nt hear much about the dudes who tell folk they are hung like a stallion then when push comes to shove ...... u need the pepper and magnifying glass to find it....talk about false advertising...lol ( lucky for men most of their SHORT comings are not on public display) we are all just stumbling around trying to find someone to love, my personal goal is to treat others with the same non-judgmental compassion I would like to be treated to. This is a worthy goal for a woman who sees right through most of the irrelavant crap in this world.

Who am I? Someone who has lived a life and is REAL. I hate to break it to you Babii, but if you should ever be lucky enough to get to my age (51 and counting) and have children, and breast feed those children, you WILL have saggy tits as well. Age has nothing to do with it and I was not taking a stab at you (please note the laughter icon in my previous post). You need to read what you wrote:
well .. really...who here likes saggy tits? not me! certainly not alot of men. women i know dont like having em.... so ... whats the problem? Who are YOU to speak for me, or the majority of women out there! Believe it or not, there are men out there who are NOT into women with chests that look like they have beach balls taped to them. They are men who take a look at the whole package, flaws and all. I am perfectly happy and secure with who I am as a person, gracefully growing old and taking care of my "saggy" (but still perky) bits and pieces without the need or desire for augmentation. And one day, if I am lucky, hopefully I will find that great guy who will love my saggy bits and pieces as much as I love his, and grow old together.
However that being said, I do feel that there is a certain time and place for breast augmentation. For example, reconstructive surgery after a masectomy, or in the case of someone that I personally know, who literally had no breasts at all and could not fit into tops or dresses properly because of it.

Okay, I admit I tend to be more attracted to women blessed with somewhat more than a mouthful.
However if I were so fortunate to have a choice between two women where all other qualities were comparable (medical & cosmetic issues aside) and one woman had an artificially ample busom and the other was less endowed and not augmented, I would choose the latter, even if her breasts resembled tobacco pouches.
Ultimately breast size is not important. The woman within, and how she makes me feel and how I make her feel, is far more important.
It is regrettable that some women feel enough pressure to undergo surgery to enhance their breasts, especially when there are lots of men who prefer the smaller ones.

| Are women with breast augmentation cheating with false advertising? Posted: 7/12/2008 2:38:31 PM | LOL... I don't want the following quote to be on my profile.. LOL!
well .. really...who here likes saggy tits? not me!
First off, cows have "tits" or "teats" to be even more correct.. women have "breasts"... I find it annoying when women talk about their own body parts with disrespect... Scuse my somewhat uptight demeanor...
To the OP... Women who have augmentation in the form of implants go through the hell of surgery to have them and they do become, part of her body. So they are not "false advertising" because if that were true, she could take them off. Women have been wearing padded bras and underwired bras for years - what is so different about someone having their body permanently altered from temporarily altered? At least when she goes to bed, she doesn't take them off...
I don't like the fact that some parents are allowing their teenage girls to have implants before they've even finished maturing. To me, that is just really bad parenting!
But people improve their bodies in a million ways and I don't think they should be judged for it... I had plastic surgery on my tummy many years ago and it sure improved my ability to feel "normal"...

A teenage granddaughter comes downstairs for her date with this see-through blouse on and no bra. Her grandmother pitched a fit, telling her not to dare go out like that!
The teenager tells her: "Loosen up Grams. These are modern times. You gotta let your rose buds show!" and out she goes.
The next day the teenager comes down stairs, and the grandmother is sitting there with no top on. The teenager wants to die. She explains to her grandmother that she has friends coming over and that it is just not appropriate...
The grandmother says, "Loosen up, Sweetie. If you can show off your rose buds, then I can display my hanging baskets. Happy Gardening.

funny I do'nt hear much about the dudes who tell folk they are hung like a stallion then when push comes to shove ...... OooooooohTwila you kill me,... good thing I didn't have anything in my mouth or my keyboard would be shot!!
I hate to inform those who don't care for "saggy tits".... BUT implants will also droop over time ( the joy of living on our earth with gravity!) unless you are unfortunate ( and YES I mean unfortunate) enough for your implants to become encapsulated. Then again perhaps one likes the look of "extra curves"? How often can one afford touch ups?? I seriously wish all those women who consider augmentation would look at the bigger picture and that the surgeons promoting this cosmetic enhancement would be honest and tell them how they are putting so much of their future health at risk. Mammography becomes virtually useless with implants..... care to risk missing cancer??
I'll take my "tobacco pouches" and ride off into the sunset now. thanks for that image OR....

| Are women with breast augmentation cheating with false advertising? Posted: 7/12/2008 5:02:26 PM | Hmmmmmmm, interesting topic, very interesting.
Having augmented breasts are nice, am I ok with it, sure.
However, it is going to take a WHOLE LOT MORE, then, just a nice pair of breasts for attraction with this kid.
Charactor, personality, and attitude is anohter.
None of that matches up, then I don't care, how nicely shaped her breasts are, that is not going to work just alone.

| Are women with breast augmentation cheating with false advertising? Posted: 7/12/2008 5:27:02 PM | | My boobs are big enough without needing surgery. That being said, I can understand some women feeling unattractive with the size they're given. I don't think it should be an issue as long as they're not going for 'i can't stand up anymore' size boobs. | |
