A great way to meet new soul mates all in a few hours......Speed dating from 4-6pm....Please register only if you seriously are committing to it as otherwise it will throw the numbers off.....
I will be making age brackets as soon as I get the registered feeeeshies and their friends.....If you are bringing a guest along please write it on the wall and mention their gender and their age so I can make sure to group it all properly...

Posted: 7/13/2008 6:20:22 PM | Alright let me try and explain how speed dating goes in a nutshell....I am only changing one usual part of it...
All feeeeshies and guests are divided in age brackets. Then everyone is wearing a number so that when you are chatting you can know by mumber later on who you are selecting....
Normally the men every 3-5 minutes will change seats and begin chatting with the next person sitting in front of them but I noticed that last time it wasnt working out the way I wanted it to so this time I am going to make it a little different and have the ladies change places to toss things up a bit....
You will be meeting anywhere from 8-20 members of the opposite sex in the following hours that afternoon.
You can ask anything you feel will enable the fish across from you to show their true personality and feel completely at ease. You have to leave a lastign impression on them as well...
After each 3-5 minute interlude a whistle will blow allowing you the time to citcle their number if you would want information exchanges with them or not to circle their number if you feel you didnt find a connection....If both fish circled each other in the following days you will receive an email from me stating all info that you will have filled out at the beginning of the event. (name, email address, phone number if you wish)
You once agian may ask pretty much what you want but remember this is your first impression on someone...Normally people try to stick to questions relating to favorite passtimes, employment, favorite foods favorite activities, etc....)
You do not have that long but enough to make a first impression....
It was a wonderful time last time I did it...
You can then either grab a bite to eat at Irish Embassy in order to stay and mingle even more with the fish that you just met wait around for the new fish to arrive...Alot will already be there as a matter of fact. I am expecting many to arrive to enjoy a very SUNNY afternoon hopefully....

In a nutshell you are going on 3-5 minute dates with a series of members of the opposite sex over the duration of around 2 hours.
I have already 30 other members participating as it stands now plus around 20 from here if not more...I am very anxious to see the end results....

Speed dating is an organized service that allows singles to meet other singles that are serious about making a connection. Speed dating is gaining popularity because it does away with many of the common hurdles associated with dating, like the difficulty and frustration of finding new people.
In one evening, you have the opportunity to date between 10 and 20 new people. Organizers will have set nights for each age range (example: 26 to 34 years old) and most services will not allow you to attend outside your own age group.
The venue is set up with tables for two and each participant is assigned a number. At the appointed time, one man and one woman are paired up at each table, where they will have a set amount of time to talk.
At the end of the alloted time, the event host will ring a bell and all dates come to a halt. Participants are asked to write on their card if they would be interested in seeing their date again. Then, the men get up and move to the next table, where another woman is waiting to meet them.
Who Should Consider Speed Dating?
My friend is a career driven, independent woman of modern society. Therefore, she doesn’t have much time to go out and meet men. Speed dating can be a way for those who lead busy lives to meet new people in an organized, safe environment.
Advantages of Speed Dating
The scenario is all too common. You meet someone in an online chat room or you are set up by a matchmaking service. Since initial contact is over the phone or the computer, the temptation is all too great to portray a false image of yourself. Upon the first face-to-face encounter, disappointment may be felt. In speed dating, the first meeting is in person. So, the chances of false expectations are minimized. There is no lying about how you look and no Photoshopped pictures.
