Posted: 7/18/2008 8:02:49 PM | OK Bama sound off about this!!!!!!!!!! i dont figure this wont get to last long on here as im not one to hold my tounge on crap that is just really BS!!!! also ladies this is just something that i wrote sitting here watching 20/20 tonight. in no way is this saying i do the things i mention in here but just my observation. so just read with a open mind!!!!
tonight on 20/20 John aired a story about sex in america. IS Alabama the only place in the US that makes it illegal to buy sex toys???? the lawmakers in montgomery say that masturbation is going to be the downfall of the people of alabama!!!! i just want to know why they can make laws to outlaw the sell of toys but the **stards cant stop the rise in the price of gas and the cost of living but the think they can stop the rise of bobo in our pants!!!!! i for one think lower the cost of living is more important than stopping people from buying a rubber play thing or a set of ben wa balls......... and if handcuffs are considered SEX TOYS how can the same ones who come and arrest you for using the same things that they use to take you into custody!!!!!!!!! sound like on oxy-moron situation to me. and they say sex in our bedrooms is not private.....BS again!!! i feel what i do in the privacy of my home is my business. if it is gonna be controled by the goverment how are we any different from any other dictatorship in the world????? if i want to have sex with a different woman everynight of the week who is our goverment to say i am wrong? if i want to have sex with two women at the same time who are they to say im wrong? and another thing im pissed about is why would the senator who introduced this act into law not tell his side of the story on tthe show?!?!?!? if he is so sure this the right thing for all of us here in bama why wont he say so in public? does he have some dark secret in his closet? may be he spanks bobo in the toilet.......or is he like the other dude who got busted trying to have sex in the restroom???!!! is he pissed that his wife has a larger member than he does??
we arent supposed to masturbate!!! we cant have sex in our home when we want to!!! prostitution is illegal!!!!! but the gas giant have freedom to screw us into the ground!!!!!! where is the justice in it all????? so folks let me hear what you think about this! this is just my point of view !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! | |

I agree with you completely- it's out of control. I just don't know what to tell ya. I did however, start a thread a couple nights ago entitled, "Blow-up dolls... Do people REALLY use these things?"

Who the HELL elected the fool you have that is proposing this law? What are the people going to do about it, or are they to sedated on some pharmaceutical, that they really don't care any more.
I do know that in some states it is illegal to possess porn, as well as it is illegal to have/give BJ's and anal sex. Legal studies student here, we thrive on looking up sh!t that doesn't make sense.
When is it that the people of America will break out the constitution and remember that the Government is made for the people, BY THE PEOPLE... Not the other way around... Has this country fallen so far into ineptness, that they will allow some boner head take away the basic right to safe self pleasuring???
Where is the justice??? It is supposed to be in the People hands, and as long as people idly sit by and don't think about how each of their rights are being wittled away by things like the Patriotic act, and boner heads that want to illegalize sex toys and masturbation, they might as well sign up for dictatorship, because that is where they are going...  | |

It is an organiztion which is dedicated to changing the alcohol laws here in bama to increase the alcohol limit of beers and to leagalize homebrewing in bama. needless to say it was shot down during the last legislative session. I have heard a lot of the senators say that if we did that then every high school student would be making beer instead of going to school to the teens would be buying the higher priced high alchol beers. I do not know about anyone else but when I was a teen with 10 or 20 bucks in my pocket I would go for the quantity not the quality. it is way past time for people of Bama to wake up . | |

The oil kings love to funnel money to the tree huggers so we can't produce here and have to buy there. They try to stab us in the back with our own knives by convincing blind and easily misled people like taking sheep to slaughter. Rush Limbaugh has been beat up on and tried to run him out of business for his out right speach and exposing the truth with his research. I in no way am against environmentalist but I am against lying and purposely misleading people... so why the heck be concerned with some bimbo with a dildo? | |

Or maybe writing your congressman... or writing up your own bill to decriminalize the use and sale of sex toys in alabama. It may be a matter of state legislators or congress, though I'm not sure which. I just note that if it bothers you to have to call them "novelty items" when you sell them (I worked for Spencer's once in a blue moon), then you should do more than watch 20/20, and if you have the use of something as powerful as the internet to garner support on a forum...well then why not?
I for one am male and straight, so until they stop me from using the internet with legal recourse, I'll be fine without the whirring hand bananas. though I extend my sympathies to everyone else, of course.
And on a final note: at least alabama isn't UTAH, though not by too far. | |

It got smacked down last year by the state supreme court after it heard an appeal from a vibrator store in Hoover. IIRC, the court said that as long as people who don't want to see that kinda thing don't see it, then it can't be considered a nuisance. Hence, all the XXX-type signs on the places that sell the stuff. Of course I always thought those type places were kinda irrelevant considering the range of that kind of stuff available on the Net...but either way that law was toothless in the first place. | |
