i plan on going to watkin's woolen mill state park tomorrow.

they have fishing, picnicking, can put in boats or canoe/kayak or small motor.
there is a sand beach and wooded area if you are a burner.

I had to go to a wedding today and tonight I was telling them so help me I a taking a vacation next year. I have thought about a cruise but not sure if I want to go that route or just fly somewhere that has warm weather with a nice beach and some coral reefs that I can snorkle at.
Vacation, hhhhmmm been a long time.. gone but NOT forgotten!

sad note: later that night on the news, we found out that a 28 yr old female drowned there about 30 minutes after i left with the kids to go home! oh my poor lady, ad her family (though i am glad i was not there with the grand kids at that time

Heard that the weather in St Louis hit a heat index of 110........gotta love this California weather, I had to wear a light jacket to go out to lunch cause it had a nice, but nippy, breeze blowing. | |

I had to wear a light jacket most of the time cause there was a nice breeze always blowing.........and last night we went out to Huntington Beach, and it was awesome. Of course, I couldn't understand how them gals were getting in the ocean water wearing very little swimming suits when I had a jacket on, but they seemed ok with it. Didn't care to come home to this heat and humidity though, that's for sure. But I am thinking that I will probably be back out there a few more times before the end of the year, so I guess I might as well get used to it. | |

Posted: 7/23/2008 6:39:46 PM | I love Laguna Beach! My sister used to live in Irvine, California. I even asked my ex to marry me on the cliffs north of the beach in Laguna. Lots of great art galleries, shops and places to eat! I also had a friend who live right on the strand in Hermosa Beach that I used to go visit alot. And you always need to go to Venice Beach when in L. A. and check out the "entertainment"!
