Objects in mirror are closer than they appear. If a woman is sitting on a guys lap are they a couple? If a guy has a lot of female friends is he a player or a woman with a lot of male friends a slut? It's human nature to see a man and a woman eating dinner together and presuppose, they are a couple. You know what assume means? You know what they say if you assume something don't you? It makes an ass out of you and me. I have learnt over the years of being single and doing the on-line thing not to ever assume anything. In addition, don't believe everything you hear or are told. If you do you just might miss out on something really special in life. | |

Some things are better for me not to know, I've found. I agree wholeheartedly - a person should be able to have friends of the opposite sex without being labelled or having to constantly explain the relationships. I have just as many male friends as female, and I certainly would be upset if someone thought I was a slut. I'm pretty sure sluts get a lot more action than I do -  | |

We are a society of assuming and I don't know if you have noticed but we always want the trash, we want the gossip.. the dirt. I mean look at the news... mostly negative info.
I have grow to NOT take a thing for granted and besides as long as I am not in a relationship then I can sit on whatever lap I so choose. I use to mess with people where I worked. I was married at the time and I became friends with one of the guys there. Well I became pregnant that year. One of the gals there had the nerve to ask me if the guy we worked with if he was the father. I was floored. I quickly said no and I don't think my husband would appreciate that at all.
People, that is why when choosing friends, it is our choice unlike having the relatives that we have.

I'm noticing the term "slut" tossed around a lot lately and the assumption is that it's not something you want to be. However, after 50 I think you should be a slut every chance you get. You never know when you'll get another chance! | |

I guess it depends on your beliefs and your level of self respect. Personally, having sex is NOT the most important thing on my list...but note it is on my list.
I still can't believe I read that...wow!!!! I would say that the women I know do NOT feel that way and a LOT of these women are on POF!!!!

I'm noticing the term "slut" tossed around a lot lately and the assumption is that it's not something you want to be. However, after 50 I think you should be a slut every chance you get. You never know when you'll get another chance!
Well here in my circle, we call ourselves "Dirty Wh0res"...not "sluts!"
