Summer fun in Penticton! Hosted by Emerald Sea and Bright Delight 4 U
 
>Place: The event is at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre, Ballroom #2.
Where:273 Power St. Penticton.

Time: The band starts at 8:30 PM and ends at 12:00 AM.
The venue will be open at 7:30PM and there will be snacks and bar service available. The venue closes at 1:00 AM.
The Band: Crosstown Bus: they play classic rock tunes, to see their playlist,

Many Metro Vancouver Fishies have heard them playing in Surrey.
I will have POF cards on the tables so that we can be found.
The band is also being kind enough to reserve tables for us,
so it would be great if you could e-mail me or post in the event forums if you are bringing friends.
I would also ask that everyone get to the venue by 8:00 PM to secure the reserved seats.
It is also much easier to introduce yourselves and chat before the band starts.
I will be there at 7:30PM.
ALL AGES ARE WELCOME
Tickets:must be purchased by yourselves, the hosts cannot purchase tickets for you.
The cost is $10.00 in advance or $12.50 at the door.
They can be purchased from the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre Box office, which is behind the Centre. The promoter has decided to NOT make the tickets available online or by phone, ticket purchases in person only.
Tickets: are also available at the Penticton Visitors Centre at 553 Railway St. Penticton

For anyone else, don't worry about coming by yourself, it is a very good way to meet some fellow fishies and make some new friends.
If you like to dance, you can dance with a partner or we can dance in a big group. 
^^^ Hi Monty1950, I see you are from Kamloops, if you are needing accomodation in Penticton, there are several types listed on the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre website at www. pentictonconventioncentre.com or http://www.tourismpenticton.com/.
I would look early as the Peach Festival is on that weekend. | |

Posted: 8/1/2008 11:24:39 PM | *****I have an update about the event, the Trade and Convention Centre has changed their info now, door opening at 7:30 now, not 6:00 PM, so I will be there at 7:30.
******Tickets: the website is now saying, purchase tickets in person only at the two venues as listed in the event info. When I had talked to staff a few weeks ago, they said tickets would be available online and by phone also. If anybody coming from out of town has had problems with getting tickets, please send me a private message ( emerald sea). I will have to talk to the staff on Monday to see what is up with the ticket purchases. I will update the info as I get it.

Posted: 8/3/2008 11:34:31 PM | Hello everyone, another ticket update! I went to the Visitors Centre earlier today and fortunately they had received an e-mail update about the tickets. The promoter has decided to have ticket sales in person only, so I have removed the info for the online and phone ticket sales.
The staff at the visitor centre said the convention centre is very large and they cannot imagine getting tickets at the door will be a problem.
I will check with the Trade and Convention Centre on Tuesday to make sure that it should not be a problem.
I will try and contact everyone via e-mail with the latest info, in case people don't check for updates on here.
I am really looking forward to meeting you all on Saturday night | |
