A great friend of ours, that lives way north of us (Psssst), suffered a heart attack and a few other serious maladies about 3 weeks ago. When they first took her to the emergency room, because of the seriousness of her condition, the Doctors felt she would not survive the day. Well.......God had other plans, she did survive and is back in her hometown undergoing Rehab. She will have to be there for a better part of a month before she can go home.
Please, let's lift this wonderful Lady up in prayer and especially for her quick healing.

Tell her we're praying for her and rooting for her! She's too TOUGH to let a little ole thing like a heart attack get to her...
She like... needs to move down here to warmer weather so we can you know.... like WATCH over her and make sure she eats right! Spawn has had several open heart surgeries, so i know JUST how she needs to take care of herself.

You need to come down and stay with me until you recover. Me and my kitties would take care of you and see that you were back on your feet in no time.

Posted: 7/28/2008 7:14:00 AM | Spoke to psssst this morning and she is her same happy, optimistic self that we all know and love. She said she would recover completely and she is taking intense rehab right now. We only had time to talk for about 10 min before someone came to take her to more physical therapy. She is very shaky when she walks and she said her hands do not work the way they use to. It was the 2 strokes and the heart attack that did the damage to her. She is doing fine and she said to tell everyone "hello". Keep her in your prayers.

Oh... and the official story is that I swooned whilst at work to get some time off!!!
Seriously, I'm slowly but surely getting better and I'm having one hell of a time tormenting the therapists that are working so diligently to get me back up and running ~ sans scissors.
I even asked my speech therapist for the Conversational Spanish option I heard about... I think she's the reason I have that appointment with the psychologist in the morning... 
Anywhoo... all is well up here and I'm having one hell of a time with the doctors... and yes, I'm snagging all the cute ones for myself!!!

I've had passes to go out for the day for all three days of this long weekend... so I'm enjoying myself immensely!!! A slight sunburn and a drastic haircut (with said cut hair being donated to the Cancer Society for a wig) and I'm turning into a new woman... errrr... still sarcastic and all that...

On the flip side, Psssst recovering as you are has been an answer to many prayers. Getting out in the world has got to be wonderful M'Lady.
Of course, your leaving out certain facts from your Georgia friends. They would only let you out if you agreed to wear your straight jacket and a couple of goons in white coats following you.
Wonder why??
