| | Where do the 30+ women hang out?Page 1 of 6 (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) | I live in Sacramento Ca. I've been single for a year but I just started getting back into the single life over the past month. I took some time to recover from the divorce. I'm educated and a young professional. I don't have any children. I'm also turning 33 in September.
I started to do the bar/club scene around town and I noticed that the crowd is mainly 25 and under. Where did all the 30+ women go? I must be going to the wrong places. They can't all be married. I find that women under 25 are in a totally different place than me and I can't relate.
Any suggestions? | |

| Where do the 30+ women hang out? Posted: 7/26/2008 1:09:52 PM | In general, 30+ women rarely leave home, as you've discovered. Read the profiles here -- they are seriously waiting for a 'knight in shining armor' to 'rescue' them from their couch at home.
That's the main reason why most of us older guys date younger women -- they still get out in the world.
Oh, and don't buy the BS about going out to singles groups, biking, hiking, etc . I do all of that, and all kinds of sports, and it's extremely rare that there are any females in the group, unless a boyfriend/husband brought them.
I'm always told this is not true by locals here, so I ask them WHERE do such women go, and bet that any location or group will be a sausagefest. Been doing this for years - I've never lost that bet.

| Where do the 30+ women hang out? Posted: 7/26/2008 5:59:37 PM | I operate 3 groups on the site previously mentioned.
Don't get too excited, the participation rate for females is under 1% overall, and about 20% on events where they've RSVP'd that they "definately" will attend.

So I think I've done my fair share of getting out of my comfort zone.
I work for boutique commercial real estate finance firm. 10 people total . 7 are guys and three married women. This is where I spend 90% of my time so I have to get out to meet women.

You never know, they may know a lady or two who are also single, not into the bar scene who might like to share a meal or afternoon with you.

| Where do the 30+ women hang out? Posted: 7/26/2008 8:24:39 PM | | I'm at night school taking a class in construction management for fun, on the golf course on weekends and the drving range 2-3 times a week, at the gym 3 times a week, at church (Sundays, Mens group activities, singles ministry). I try to do happy hours after work with some guys I know. I like nice wine bars and trendy lounges. I usually meet women in their early twenty's at these places. They all seem to think I'm too old. That's ok because I think the college crowd is too young. | |

Depends on what kind of place you would like to go to..I read alot of women don't like going to clubs...well there are a couple of clubs out in Mississauga that have lots of guys 30+ at them....Dirty Martini's and Red Hot Blue Suede Sues..
Plenty of women too! | |

That is totally untrue...i for one, am not waiting to be rescued...i go on many dates from pof...i also have an active social life. I choose who i will date....
Us 30+ women do not band together or segregate ourselves from others in a sad lonely little existance.
I use this site as an opening to friends, possibly more but i do think when i finally meet a man to have a relationship with , it probably will not be from on here.

| Where do the 30+ women hang out? Posted: 7/27/2008 9:44:50 AM | Here it just depends on the place. For example, the sports bar tends to bring in the younger guys and girls (like just out of college to watch their college games, etc) , but the restaurants like On The Border and Bennigans will bring in a nice mix of all ages 20's-50's. Here this is where the 30's crowd goes, and also to the dance halls.
California? I dont know your area but think for a moment what restaurants with "more developed" tastes there are out there?
All I know is here in north Texas there is an *abundance* of single, middle aged women. No, let me rephrase that. ABUNDANCE. lol.

| Where do the 30+ women hang out? Posted: 7/27/2008 1:46:18 PM | Well i can imagine your faced with the same dilemma women over 30 are faced with. Most men of the age group are married, freshly divorced and totally NOT ready to be serious with another adult or a confirmed bachelor that may or may not still live at mom's.
Women of the age group are married, or single with kids. I don't mind the bar scene cause I'm a people watcher but I know I will never meet a Mr. semi-ok-for-now at one. Plus like you said, so many youngins that while I have the stamina to party with, I lose patience with very fast....
I'm at the zoo with the kids, the laundry mat, grocery shopping with the kids, working, museums. movies, concerts. Pretty much everywhere you are, no?
No one approaches anyone is the problem sir. People are everywhere. I know its a daunting task to just start chit chat with a random stranger.
How is it acceptable to approach a woman? How about in a friendly manner with a tasteful sense of humor? Haven't you learned at all that a sense of humor is a top quality? Obviously you can't impress a stranger with that slick new bedroom move you learned from your last fling, so go with natural and comfortable. Feeling confident? Even better. Women hate wimps.

If women were logical, they'd tell us this, we'd meet them and actually have dates. Will it work like that? Noooo. You see, by asking we've failed the first test -- can he read my mind? Unless you're extraordinarily stupid, no man will be able to read your mind.

| Where do the 30+ women hang out? Posted: 7/27/2008 1:47:43 PM | These women are all around you. The problem is that you're afraid to approach them in places that are not designed for meeting women. Examples, grocery stores, book stores, malls, sales clerks, walking down the street, standing in line at Subway (I've done it), and many others. It's very challenging to talk to a woman in these settings because you don't want to come off as annoying, but who cares? Chances are...even if you strike out, you'll NEVER see that woman again anyway. The next time you're in the sushi section of the grcery store and a hot 30+ woman is there browsing next to you, ask her which ones are her favorite and take it from there....
Also, the homeless idea really isn't a bad one. Some women are just down on their luck and aren't deadbeats or nasty. They just need someone that will listen and provide a little emotional support, all kidding aside.

| Where do the 30+ women hang out? Posted: 7/27/2008 8:38:16 PM | | me? I go to Bennigans (because they have a full menu and full bar available til 2 am daily), Buffalo Wild Wings to watch my baseball games, the bar at On The Border just to see who's there and what they have on TV (and the free chips and salsa! lol), places that have live music including coffee bars and dance halls, places that are open later since the younger crowd is less likely to complain about staying up late than the old fogies, Starbucks, at the Rangers baseball games, hmmm... thats about it around here where I am. | |

| Where do the 30+ women hang out? Posted: 7/27/2008 8:45:15 PM | I guess its about what your end game is. The following is a generalization of course not all woman under 25 falls into this category.
I find that woman 25 and under are still the process of figuring everything out. They're not really stable at this age. They're just trying to get through college and find their place in the world. They're usually great for casual flings but nothing serious or worth investing in.

Couldn't agree with you more, man. Sure, there's the occasional exception, and you might find a 23 y/o woman that has her act together in terms of being mentally and emotional stable, but for the most part it is the 30+ women that are the most stable. I like a nice firm body as well as the next gentlemen, but after a few months, that firm hinny won't mean as much to you. It's more important to have a woman that gets your jokes :) even if they are bad, and a woman that has some resilience and doesn't complain about every single discomfort imaginable. Fertility peaks at about age 22 for females, but with people having kids at older ages now, it's more important to wait and grab yourself a 30+ stable female that has her act together unless you can find the rare 30- female that is just as "mature."

| Where do the 30+ women hang out? Posted: 7/27/2008 9:57:31 PM | uh, excuse me, you date younger girls because you're looking for someone on your level...hehe...
seriously, though, okay, maybe only half serious-- the reason why you don't see a woman over 30 in the bars is because she's taking care of herself. she's not waiting on the knight, she's working on self-actualization. which, means being whole & complete on their own. what a freakin' concept in this world of c0-dependency...
btw--i'm not joking about the biking--i'd even take you along, but you gotta promise me up front that you won't whine when i drop your old ass... :P
good luck wading in the kiddie pool...
