Posted: 7/27/2008 7:52:20 AM | Several of you have emailed me asking when the next meetngreet would be. It's going to be Sunday August 3rd @ 230 pm(Bradenton Hooter's). We'll be inside .If you've been to one of these b4 , you know that everyone is friendly. If you are new to this, rest assured ,its ok if you don't know anybody,just come and say hello. The food is good, the drinks flow and you'll definitely meet some nice people. Hooters is located at 4908 14th st west which is rt 41. If you have any questions about the place just call them @ 941-758-1175. Everyone is welcome and I look forward to seeing you. If you have any questions or concerns , feel free to shoot me an email

Posted: 7/27/2008 12:15:40 PM | Just a tip: If you see newbies there sitting alone perhaps for a long time why not say hi or start a chat? Actually ... any person who takes it upon themself to host a party should also be aware that while there are no rules about this, it's basically understood that the host makes every effort to make their rounds and/or be at the entrance to greet people. It's something we do as a host/hostess. Most of us do that.
If there was a problem at "Ferg's" ... then someone should take that up with the person who started the thread ... the party host needs to know that folks might have felt left out ... so that it doesn't happen again.
There is a lot more to hosting a POF party than just starting a thread for people to sign up on ... | |

She does her best to make the rounds on a regular basis and say hi to everyone and make everyone feel comfortable. Just come, put on a happy face and try something new (be outgoing). This will be my third time going and each time gets just a little easier...and each time I meet a few more people. It's funny because I'm not really a shy person at all but I am shy when meeting new people for the first time..Good thing it's at Hooters. Have a drink, relax and have fun ! | |
