Maybe see what days fit the majority? I just came from that area and have wanted to float that end into Grand ...b | |

| Labor Day Fish Float August 29th thru September 2nd Posted: 7/28/2008 2:18:59 PM | The North Fork of the White combines a relatively constant flow of clear water from large springs with some of the best whitewater in the Missouri Ozarks. Since its upper reaches are in Mark Twain National Forest, it retains some wilderness character and has good watershed protection. The section from Hwy. 14 to Hwy. H is near-wilderness and includes some fine stands of short-leaf pine as well as several large springs. Old mills and a number of National Forest recreation areas enhance the attractiveness of the area for vacationers. Indeed, this river has high-quality recreation value equal to any in the Ozarks. | |

| Labor Day Fish Float August 29th thru September 2nd Posted: 7/28/2008 2:28:35 PM | I have floated the North Fork of the White River before. Loved it! If you have time there are some great old mills in that area also. Dawt Mill is at the end of the North Fork river and Hodgson Mill is really close. Here is the link to maps and pictures of the Ozark Mills:

P.S. - It is also a world class rainbow trout river and the water is so clean and clear you might just see them swimming below your canoe!

| Labor Day Fish Float August 29th thru September 2nd Posted: 7/28/2008 4:52:56 PM | Kat no one brought their young one's last time .some came with thier adult kids . What I did was copy and pasted twin bridge's price list and and the kid price's were all ready on it so I didn't bother to delit it.And I din't expect any young kids but it's posible for some to bring thier adult kids(drinking age kids LOL) By all means Kat try to make it this river is a hell of alot of fun and it's not nearly as crouded as the Meremec will be over the laybor Day weekend. The camp ground we will be staying at is the only out fitter that puts in where we will put in at .we will have the first 5 miles of the river will basicly be all to our selfs So come on down and spread the word this is a good float river with a lots of bouncy bouncy's and slsplish splash's | |

| Labor Day Fish Float August 29th thru September 2nd Posted: 7/28/2008 7:11:03 PM | Hey I've never done anything POF stuff but I would love to get one camping trip in at least this summer. I will need a canoe partner also. Oh & I am relatively competent in the canoe. A lill rusty maybe...lol I don't drink & party but I love to laugh & goof off around the fire. Will I fit in? Also how do you guys handle a kitchen set up & food? Is it all for yourself or do you work together? I have a sweet fold out kitchen from cabellas with a sink & pantries...lol. We could build a community kitchen around it. Well now I have to go & figure the money?
Hope to be there,

| Labor Day Fish Float August 29th thru September 2nd Posted: 7/29/2008 1:22:19 PM | Thank you for welcoming me. The plans so far sound great. I'm still checking the money reserves so I haven't officially signed up. I looked at the camp web site & it looks very nice. I see that they have showers on premises so I won't have to lug mine. I also see that they have packages with meals. That might be fun to try sometime in the future also. Well looking forward to meeting you all & keeping my fingers crossed about funds.
