| Get togethers - Circle of friends
Posted: 8/4/2008 12:28:40 PM | What I really miss now that I'm single, is having that really close circle of friends to hang out with. I'm not really into the bar thing, and I've been on alot of dates here but have not met many people that really n truly wanted to do more than have a random hookup. So I would like to set up a weekly thing where we can have like 8-16 people over each week for pizza, bbq or maybe taco Tuesdays where we can meet everyone on a friendship level for good food, conversation maybe some games. I 39 s0 I would like the group to stay in a 32-45 year old range but it's not a set in stone thing, anyone with a true desire to make quality , long lasting friendships would be welcome. So if anyone out there would like to help me get this started or would like to come to something like this, please let me know.

Posted: 8/5/2008 3:28:08 AM | I posted the age thing thinking it would bring the group to have a more common background, but as I know very well the are younger people with mature souls and people like me blend in perfectly well in conversation dictated by my 16 year old daughter n her friends. I just would like everyone to be casual n relaxed with a sincere desire to be friends with group of good people. This was my 1st time posting anything so please be gentle with the leg pulling...lol the age thing is no big deal.
PS I wear reading glasses too...lol

Sounds great to have a circle of friends. All my close friends have preschoolers and fall alseep by 7pm. But unfortunately for me I am only off Wed/Thu nights. I don't suppose you guys would still be up after 1am partying into the night on Fri/Sat?

The Green Valley Library has a SUPER view of the valley & is right across the street from that casino by the same name if it becomes too quiet.
Smokey's Line Dancing Thursday. Ladies night & line dancing can make you sweat off some of those calories.... Plus you can dance alone - in a crowd of people - if no one suits your fancy or you dont suit anyone's fancy.
NY NY piano bar Thursday. It is also really close to the sports center for those sports fans who must have the game playing behind them all the time during the Fall.
Bellagio Front Desk - we could chase each other around the garden until we drive security nuts..... Then sing off key outside to the music of the dancing waters.
Fashion Show Mall ~ With this many stores every one is bound to find something they like. We can take walkie talkies to keep in touch & test their ranges for the toy stores.
Treasure Island Pirate Show - Naw the sirens singing makes me want to puke. Bring the British men back! Then I am all for it!
Red Rock Loop - take our telescopes and share scarey stories as we watch the stars & listen to the bats fly around making little mouse like squeeking noises.
Lied Discovery Museum - They have a basket ball hoop upstairs & a tornado maker. Plus you can fly the space shuttle. Just take mace cause there are lots of homeless people in the parking lot waiting to hit you up when you walk outside.
Ok ~ For me I think the only person who like to go and do moved to Wyoming. Either that or I must be as hyper as Odie the Dog and every one else as calm as Garfield the Cat. Bye All ~ Dragon & Tigger have my number  | |

Calling all females, or any organizational type males, that would help get something like this going. I've lived in Reno for a few years but I don't go out much, don't know too many people, and my 4 walls are also becoming too comfortable.. I don't like bar scenes or clubs for getting to know people.....so can we have some suggestions please?
All you people in Las Vegas: if you know anyone in Reno who could help get this going, give them a shake for me please. I don't see anyone from Reno on this particular thread.

It is really hard to meet friends in this transit city. I have lived here 3 1/2 years and have a handful of friends, mostly married so getting together would be great. I am in the Northwest part of Vegas so is there anything or anyone thats wants to start a meet up on this side of town?

This friday night is dive in movies at mandalay bay. free movie in the pool. this weeks movie is ferris buellers day off. You can find us in the front under the lifeguard tower. movie starts around 1o i think. | |
